I've been trying to qualify my love for this compilation for a while now and I think I've finally found the words. My musical interests have changed so much over the past year and this boxset has been an important constant throughout all my discovery; each time I listen, it feels like I learn something new about my own preferences. This has now become inseperable from my personal life, I think, but it really wouldn't have stuck with me this long if the music wasn't so damn good.

The recordings gathered by Vanessa Rossetto and Lionel Marchetti used to make this album exist in two forms: this album and The Tower (l'escalier en spirale). I prefer this version, though both are great listens. They arrange their source material in such a transfixing way--having great knowledge over when to place sudden changes in volume or how long to repeat certain recordings and the like.
