Don't let the album cover get its clamps in you! This is a generic Death Metal record by every account! Run for your life!
It's teetering on gutter trash, but it far surpassed my expectations. Don't understand why people are red in the face over this.
I will say however that is the worst kickdrum i've ever heard.
I love you to the moon and back Mr. Hayes but some fat needs to be trimmed from these tracks.
As technically proficient as these gents may be, I just find myself bored to tears when DT hits the floor.
Good, but the first track dwarf's the others in just about every regard.
Could this once and for all be the Black Metal release that wows me? Spoiler alert, nope, this is appalling.
Black days are upon us if these prunes are kicking more ass than the young bucks.
King Crimson's shining moment in the eyes of many probably doesn't even graze their top 3, but it's King Crimson after all. Being outside the top 3 is nothing to sneeze at.
Once you give this album some personal time it really opens the shades. If it was a chore or to far out on first listen, give it another listen, then another 5, and if that doesn't work another 5 ought to do the trick.
Metallica needs to be laid to rest. They never had much shelf-life to begin with.
The title tracks start interesting enough but ultimately swivels into nothingness, if it was played by some band that fell to the wayside nobody would remember it. As far as the others tracks go, they were so uneventful there's no use in talking about them.
If you don't like Bowie you're a liar, or you just don't like Bowie, which is fine... More power to you.
Mixed bag. Only 2 tracks on here that can hold there own on the Crimson song circuit. After "Sailor's Tale" the rest feels like leap pads up until the great "Islands".
