I really like how different from everything he did before this was and it was really good too.
I know that my music taste is fucked when I save a song because of how harsh the noise is.
An improvement on everything he did before this and there was no remarkably bad song on this.
My 100th rating!
The first 6 or 7 tracks on this is amazing but unfortunately it only gets worse after that except the last track of the album which is also honestly really good. An element I really like about these two first Tyler albums is when Tyler and what I guess is called the Therapist or something are talking to each other. "Fish" and "Bitch Suck Dick" are really terrible. The first 3 minutes of "Fish" was okay but fell of at the end of those and when the ... read more
I like this more than I thought I would. I knew the old Tyler would have pretty vulgar language and if I'm going to be honest it's one of those things where it's both fucked up but it's really good and it kinda makes me like the project even more even though I feel like it shouldn't. I kinda found myself to like a song more the more fucked up it was.
It really blows my mind how good Frank Ocean really is. He starts of the album with "Thinkin Bout You" which is in my opinion the perfect start for an album as it really captures the vibe this album is going to have and it's also really amazing. It continues on with "Sierra Leone" and "Sweet Life" which are both really good songs. Then we get to "Super Rich Kids" where if im going to be honest I was kinda sceptical of Earl Sweatshirt as I haven't really ... read more
Rina Sawayama's debut EP is good but it saves the best for last. The first half are full of songs that I like but it just doesn't fit my vibe which takes away from my enjoyment from those songs. I really like the 3 song run from Alterlife to Cyber Stockholm Syndrome which is full of nearly perfect songs. Overall this is a decent EP.
Edit: (71 --> 82) The problem with rating on first listens is that if it's something new, you don't really get time to get used to the sound and that's exactly ... read more
Really beautiful instrumentals, but the vocals aren't really for me.
After getting past the first 3 tracks, it's one of the best and one of the most beautiful albums I have ever heard.
2021 was the year I started listening to more music and albums and this album is one of the first albums I ever heard and probably the first ever album that I was properly excited for to drop. Now, nearly a year after the albums release it's still as amazing as it was the first time I listened to it or even better. It has really good replay value and his voice is just really soothing to listen to.
I thought I was going to hate this when going into this, but to be honest it's not that bad. There are a lot of mediocre songs on the album but there are some gems in there like "Tissues", "Cruel Kids" and "Don't Go" that aren't that bad. My least favorite song on here is probably "I Cry 2" because the amount of autotune on his vocals.
Finally got around to listen to this album. It's a really interesting album. R.I.P MF DOOM
