Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

Words cannot describe how much I love this band. When I heard "For the first time" exactly one year ago today, I fell in love with everything the band was and stood for. I bought the vinyl record, I followed the social media pages, I was counting down the days for LP2. I had no idea that it would only take BC, NR 364 days to record and produce their second piece of work.

Ants From Up There is a horribly depressing, yet gorgeously sounding album. Somehow this record is able to expand ... read more

Best album I’ve heard this year, so far. Gospel for a New Century was fantastic but Praise A Lord is a whole new level of greatness. Everything from the instrumentation to the introspective and often times religious songwriting culminate together seamlessly.

100 gecs slightly improve their works while still making me believe that they are capable of a decade defying album
Kali Uchis - Red Moon In Venus

Uchis displays her very best on her latest LP.

A wholesome, heartfelt, throwback LP. Logic does an outstanding job at capturing the feeling of early 2010’s rap.

Hey, I hope you're doing well.

I'm making a list where, judging by AOTY users' individual top ten albums, I'm compiling a ranked community top 100. I'd love it if you could contribute by just replying with your top ten ranked from 1-10; I'm totally fine with being redirected to a ranked favourites list of sorts, if that's what you'd prefer.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and replying, if you do.

Great pick! I listened to it a couple days ago and I also thought that it was great! I also thought it was alienating at times but I believe that Nick Cave’s music can take its time to click entirely, so I’m not worried!

About

Anyways, let's see what else I, uh... It was Coney Island. They called Coney Island, "the playground of the world." There was no place like it, in the whole world, like Coney Island when I was a youngster. No place in the world like it, and it was so fabulous. Now it's shrunk down to almost nothing, you see. And, uh, I still remember in my mind how things used to be, and uh, you know, I feel very bad. But people from all over the world came here. From all over the world, y r u still reading this
