Classic!!! No other feeling compares to the one I get listening to this thing... Sounds like I have been left alone in a rainy, cold, distant mountains and rainforests alone to survive and figure out meanings of each and every feelings a human can experience...

Such a nostalgic record...

I played it over and over and over and over since the time I found it out...
It's so poppy...
Lo-fi vocals and crispy guitars and groovy drums adds to the album...
It's by no means a perfect album but man it's so enjoyable, it's easy to look past the places in the album where it has some down sides because there's always something interesting and fun going on in the songs...
It's just so much fun...
On basis of fun and enjoyability, it's 100/100...

WOW... This one hits!!!
Such a wonderland of sea of samples layered on top of each other creating such a soulful, danceable, groovy and crispy production hard to even have it possible even using live instruments... The songs here have deep layers of strings wherever present, groovy drums with such a heavy bass whenever needed (look at electricity for example, it's so groovy, the bassline is awesome, one of my fav bassline of all time...)

From disco type danceable songs like radio (most daft ... read more

You should, they’re a great band!! I listened through their discography chronologically, but I do admit it can be difficult considering how experimental their first few albums are lol.
If you want to try getting into them, I’d recommend Merriweather Post Pavilion - specifically the songs “Summertime Clothes” and “Bluish”, both great, beautiful songs. If you’re able to tolerate more ambient stuff, I’d also highly recommend Feels and parts of Sung Tongs for entry points! The first two songs on Feels are, in my opinion, some of AnCo’s best examples of semi-accessible experimental pop :D
They’re not for everybody, but with so many different sounds they’ve experimented with, I feel like they have at least one thing somebody would like!

Your backstory is really cool!!!!!! I’ve always wanted to visit the Antarctic ocean, although I do realize it would be pretty cold. I do have an anilist, but I only use it as a backup for my MAL account - I don’t think it’s been updated in like a year lol. If you want to see my anilist account it’s ‘mirrortomirror’ - maybe later today I’ll transfer my updated mal lists there lol
