John Legend - Get Lifted
83

Damn, this is actually good and cohesive at points

Sufjan Stevens - So You Are Tired

Illinois 2.0 incoming?!?! Sounds sooooooo grand

Travis Scott - UTOPIA
80

K-POP hands down the most misleading single of the year... WTF is that song... Album kinda good

Curtis Mayfield - Curtis
94

Best songs on these can go toe to toe to the best Marvin Gaye songs... this is so good.. The instrumental details and grooves at groovy songs are fire as hell

The Clash - London Calling

This is so fire dude... Been vibing to this since 5-6 months and i've not grown tired of even a single song... Every song is fire... Peppy, catchy, bombastic at moments... so good

Uncommon Nasa - Written at Night
NR

This has to be the worst section of review/takes on any album ive seen on this site... the album literally got trashed at a score of 69... WTF... this gotta be atleast 78

Chromeo - Business Casual
78

This is one hilariously corny but instrumentals are heat... Amazing synthpop instrumentals but like the lyrics are wtf lmao... wtf is with lyrics lmaooooooo...

Milo - Things That Happen at Night
47

not a good project... boring as hell... poor flows... no efforts to do something about the flows and literally any point he makes last for 6 seconds at max then he switches the topic something else... i don't see any directions in which these songs go... beats are the high end mixed beats with really highly tuned percussions bugging my ears... poor project

Ataxia - Automatic Writing

It's the best thing I've heard this whole year... It was ascension... It sounds like Talk Talk venturing even more noisy and slint like realm of rock music... But the album surpassed both Slint and Talk Talk imo... Each song strikes you with a heavy heavy blow... I didn't feel the 4th song at first as much as other songs but it also grew on me as a cool down moment at starting of song and gives a very satisfying end without trying to give an explosive ending... And each song is very different ... read more

Portishead - Dummy

Amazing amazing songs in here... instrumentals are many a times flawless... Only criticism I can give is that Vocals & lyrics are many a times are very cheesy, and i don't like them at points... But instrumentals are so good... so ahead of it's time when it was released and still sounds amazing as if released today

青葉市子 [Ichiko Aoba] - Ichiko Aoba with 12 Ensemble (Live at Milton Court)
99

She just makes everything sound serene... extra orchestrations are also pretty great

TRPP - TRPP
76

Decent Shoegaze album, but shows a lot of hope and room for improvement... The songs are catchy, the guitar textures are there, sometimes even feels like beach house a little... But... There's room for improvement in terms of song constructions... They can do better... Will continue seeing how the band progresses

파란노을 [Parannoul] - After the Night
71

92? REALLY? These aren't even as good as original versions tho... I see everyone compare this to Fishmans Live album but no, there's a vast difference between this and that...

Michael Jackson - Thriller
70

This ain't as good as people make it out... Those 3 songs in middle are amazing but everything else is just eh overrated... Also fuck the guy

Radiohead - Amnesiac
68

A Decent B-Side like project for Kid A

Slowdive - Souvlaki
72

Really appreciate the influence... But this album also has a lot of faults, like the syrupy sounds sometimes are too bland and sometimes get on my nerves like 2nd song.. the 2nd song for me is the meaning of overdoing... some fantastic songs here like opener, souvlaki space station (my favourite), when the sun hits... Closer could be a little stronger, I mean it's a really good song but ig the album had potential to make some mind boggling closer... Not as great as loveless, the hypnotic nature ... read more

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album

Haven't listened to this yet but the album art is soooooooo goooooood

Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans
92

What a thoroughly enjoyable album. I already love Sufjan's works like Illinois and A Beginner's Mind, and this is his 3rd album I'm checking... He's going with 3 for 3 so far. This sounds so good, so soothing. Not as hugely arranged as Illinois but also brings me a child like quality with simple arrangements which last for a little bit yet give a big impact. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides

One of the best Hip Hop album ever. It only gets as good as this once in any decade for rap music. Anyone getting into hip hop, this is the album I would recommend most for the starters, this is the #1 I can recommend. The maturity shown in the lyrics leave me in awe. Every 2 song, I just think to myself this could be one of the best beat I've ever heard. Lyrics so sharp and to the point, the imagery, the structure is fantastic, even the talks on spirituality and well being of people are said ... read more

"@itscarcrasher that could be the case considering how big his reputation was... but that doesn't changes the fact that i saw a clip and even googled where he makes an appearance on a stage and people were fainting from the shock and he just stood in his stance on stage... that's no different from the travis scott tragedy for me and the fact that he just stood there with his stance makes me dislike him as a person very much... he's 10 times worse than travis for me"
