if every beast of a song on animals is a 100 for me, the black seminole is bound to have 60/100, i do not enjoy that song as much as others do... but... rest of the album has high points fr... the psychedelic parts which experiment with sound and atmosphere are really great... yatchy brings amazing charishma on few of the songs here, i wish he improves on that front in future projects... ideas on here are great but a lot of times, the progression and performance of the songs feel really weak ... read more
too faster for the bass to fill in the gaps between drums... the album version had perfect speed and a sound which surrounds you with satisfying guitars, here the guitars arent creating that effect so much... also vocals feel too demoish obviously... still i love the original song a loooooooot so hearing this was exciting
I love this album a lot... many of my favourite kanye songs are here... but i will never forgive him for father stretch my hands, pt. 1 verse... along with drama he's doing as of rn
I love it... Love the sound... Doesn't sound like typical Cocteau Twins, has no drums at all, but the atmosphere just sucks me into itself... Really love many compositions in the album... enjoyable
The instrumentals are amazing af... Sound ethereal to another level and so enjoyable... Instrumentals have everything I loved about Head over Heels maximized to another level and adding a layer of ethereal sounds... This album is less abrasive as last album but still amazing as it is...
The problem for me lies in the vocals... They aren't my type even though I've liked vocals on many songs throughout their discography... But the vocals don't feel bold enough as they sound on songs like Love ... read more
Ily Cocteau Twins but this is kinda bad and boring af... Ideas are cool ig, but the whole album is really boring... And wtf is the vocals on 2nd tracks, what is that effect💀... Her voice sounds too haunting for me to listen 💀, ig as a compliment...
Enjoyable AF... Loved it a lot... One of the best instrumental jazz hip hop i've heard in a while... Did have a few moments which dragged in the first half but man the high points are really satisfying... The jam sessions in between the covers are amazing, and do not feel pale at all... It sounds warm with amazing production... Definitely recommended to check out... Might do whole Discography dive for this cuz I'm also loving the BBNG2 even more than BBNG...
Damn I really love this genre at this point... Sophisti pop is the shit!!!
First 3 songs are all you need to hear... Rest all is bit okayish, not too bad or anything, but like those 3 songs are so good...
A personal favourite album by cocteau twins... I love this album... The gothic rock and the post punk sound shine throughout the album and the sounds are so riiiiiich, the guitars and the ambiance sometimes have so much texture... I love it
The version I listen to had 19 tracks... The extra tracks are actually good so I tbh also wanna include them in mind while writing about this album... I really love many of the acoustic cuts on this album, reminds me of dawn.... Really really love those somber moments and also the places where minimalistic percussions serve as the beat which are really soothing and satisfying... Just a good album to listen to in free time for me... I like it, it does feel a bit like "demo-ish" but ... read more
Nothing in this world touches those 3 beast of tracks in the middle of the album... Blows my mind everytime I listen to this... One of the best album ever...
ALL songs are amazing EXCEPT Haiti... It's artsy yet really powerful and emotionally stirring
The words said are said so profoundly that it touches your heard... Each instrumental is produced + played with so much soul and syllable from his vocals are said with so love, it feels like he is trying to pour his feelings not only to address what he has to say but also placing his words so clearly that even if you are playing in background and not paying attention to lyrics you can easily understand what he is saying... Each word sounds separately audible, like you can't mistake it for any ... read more
