Brad Taste 10s: Pt. 1
I wasn't prepared for this album. The only songs I've heard from it were the main hits: Get Got, I've seen footage and Hacker. And I was shocked by how much these songs actually stand out.
Anyway, it's a good album. Nothing more for me. There's a lot of things I like about the album and there are some I don't like.
The songs like Punk Weight and Fuck That don't do much for me. They're not very interesting in comparison with the best songs on the record.
One thing I ... read more
Swans AGAIN: Pt. 4
Wow, this album requires a lot of patience. And, it almost doesn't reward you.
With my previous listens I always liked this album a little more than Greed, but now I feel like it's clearly worse. Greed had moments when something just clicked for me. This record barely has those moments.
Also, the version of Fool is notably worse on this album.
Surprisingly enough, I find You Need Me to be the best song on the album. Which tells more about the album than the song. ... read more

Kanye West: Pt. 3
This time, Kanye tried to make something more than just a rap album. And, he succeeded. I mean, it's ridiculous how many hits this album has.
Anyway, there are 3 songs that stand out for me as the best on the album. They are: Good Morning, Flashing Lights and, of course, Homecoming. It's quite interesting how Ye can invite an extremely mediocre singer like Adam Levine or Chris Martin, and actually make a good song with them.
Overall, the album is good. It's a new stage in ... read more
Kanye West: Pt. 2
Though it's a noticeable downgrade from the debut in basically every way, it's still a solid record.
I really wanted to give this album a lower score because while listening to the second half, I tended to forget how good the first half actually was.
If we would compare this album to College Dropout, we'll see that the songs on the debut are more connected to each other, and it also just has more good songs.
Overall, a good album, not his best.
Kanye West: Pt. 1
I heard this thing about half a month ago and, I didn't like it. Though I liked some songs, some of which still stay my favorites, I just thought the album was mostly kinda boring.
Now, I'm not a big fan of rap (except Russian rap, as you may have seen). And Ye is probably the best artist from whom I can begin my journey to rap. So, let's get started.
The first song We Don't Care already shows 2 of the things I like this album for. Amazing choruses (basically in every ... read more

Хороший альбом, душевный. Мне как человеку уехавшему из России очень приятно слышать настроение русской хтони, которое вызывает ностальгию, но ни на секунду не вызывает желание вернуться.
На самом деле, я по сути всё сказал. ... read more

That's gonna be my first review on Russian, cause I highly doubt that someone that doesn't know Russian could be interested in it. And I can't explain why I love this record on any other language.
Так вот, альбом очень хорош, если это вдруг неочевидно. Хоть формально это и не первый альбом ЭПП, я начну именно с ... read more
Revisiting Noize MC: Pt. 9
This record feels like Noize MC's magnum opus. And it's actually kinda terrifying that it was released only several months before the war in Ukraine. He manages not only to make songs about war (one of them is literally in Ukrainian), but also to make war-related metaphors when you don't really expect them, and they both fit into the context of the song and to make a point.
The main thing Noize perfected on this album is his incredible ability to occasionally rhyme ... read more
Revisiting Noize MC: Pt. 8
The concept of this album is flawless. The execution, not so much. I mean, the last 4-5 tracks are quite amazing, but when you don't listen to it for the first time everything before the ending feels like endlessly waiting for a payoff.
But the payoff is spectacular. The last song almost made me cry, and every song at the end is an amazing experience even without the album.
Overall, a good album that probably could've been better.

Swans AGAIN: Pt. 3
Though I can't say that I liked any song from the album, it definitely has its moments. Also, it's good that they decided to completely change their sound after how bad Cop was.
Fool may be the best song on the album. It was close to a 7 for me. The part when Michael sings about cutting his arm is intense.
Another thing I'd mention is that this album has the best vocal performance by Gira so far.
The ending of Nobody is also quite good, as much as the beginning of ... read more
Swans AGAIN: Pt.2
Once again, it's 2 AM, I'm sitting in a dark room and listening to another Swans album. And ending up with getting a much worse version of Filth.
Filth had a dark atmosphere and succeeded to suck me into it. Cop tries to build a dark atmosphere but ends up just being annoying. The guitars sound annoying, and the vocals sound even more annoying.
I'm really disappointed in Michael's vocal delivery on this album. He ruins straightforward yet unsettling lyrics with his ... read more

Fuck, here we go again.
It's the 3rd time I'm writing a review about this thing, and the 4th time I listen to it. And, slowly but surely, it grows on me (63=>65=>69).
I think that at this listen, I got some of the masochistic satisfaction the album aimed for while lying in a dark room at 2 am. But I agree with AllMusic that it gets a bit much.
I still don't get the hype around Stay Here, and it remains the worst song on the album for me. With the repetitiveness ... read more
Rage Against The Machine: Pt. 4
Surprisingly enough, I liked this album. It feels very appropriate for Rage to end their career covering the artists that inspired them.
It's the first cover album I've heard, and, as I already said, it exceeded my expectations.
The first half was inconsistent, and much less interesting than the second. Every song on the second half is good.
RATM really succeeded in making heavier versions of soft songs. Their most striking songs on the album are The Ghost ... read more
Rage Against The Machine: Pt. 3
This album feels less interesting than Evil Empire, and much less interesting than the debut.
The songs just feel the same both musically and lyrically.
With that being said, the record is still alright and sometimes kinda fun, I just expected more. Sleep Now in the Fire is amazing.
Rage Against the Machine: Pt. 2
It's noticeably weaker than the debut, but still kinda good.
I feel like the self-titled album was a complete statement, while this one is a bunch of, mostly good, but not as interesting "Fight the war, fuck the norm" songs.
Most of the songs on this album would be weakest if you put them on RATM. But, the fact that Evil Empire is worse than the debut, doesn't mean it's not good.
Bulls on Parade is amazing, Down Rodeo is great. Revolver is a new ... read more

It feels so good to actually listen to some good music after all the mediocrity Slipknot put me through.
I've never heard a full album from these guys before. I've just heard several songs. And while listening to the whole album, I ended up liking every song and falling in love even more with songs I've already listened to.
Bombtrack is a good opener, but it's probably one of the weaker songs on the LP. Can't say the same thing about Killing in the Name. That ... read more
