Though I enjoyed the entire album front to back I think the first half is much stronger than the second, bringing a very fun, young energy which fizzles out towards the end
The diversity of topics that Bjork plays with ranging from breastfeeding to 9/11 is crazy fr.
Such a drastic change from Vespertine which had a heavy emphasis on instruments, to Medulla which is focused so much on voices. Really interesting and really cool actually despite its weirdness. Some beavis and butt-head type beats. A lot of aspects of this album make sense when given background context.
Edit: AllMusic’s review says “It's not an immediate album, but it is a fascinating ... read more
Wow. Idk why I waited so long to listen to this album. I'm absolutely in love. Each song stands out and has a unique sound, never blending in with another. A very heartwarming and welcoming record. An obvious contender for 2022 album of the year.
Idk like arguably a more professionally developed studio record in terms of and mature lyricism and production, and I do think the Kendrick and Travis scott features are very solid. But it didn't provide the same level of excitement and energy that "Die For My Bitch" or even "The Sound Of Bad Habit" brings in my opinion. Honestly I thought Keem's "real disrespectful super rude" era type shit was more enjoyable. Lost souls one of the best tracks of 2021.

Such a fun, energetic project from Keem. Deserves way more attention. Only negative is that the recipe for almost every track is the same: chorus/verse/chorus, which is the only negative takeaway for this project, otherwise an incredibly exciting debut album.
At times it's dramatic. At times it's enchanting. Yet all of the time, "Vespertine" is a beautiful, dynamic rollercoaster with much to unpack and even more to fall in love with.

I love this floaty and inspiring direction Planet 1999 is moving towards
Wow this is so cool. Great ideas backed by very crisp production. Couldn't ask for more from a debut. Top 5 so far this year
"I'm no fucking Buddhist, But this is enlightenment"
On her third album, Bjork manages to conduct a much weirder audibly more unique project than her first two. The introspective lyrics are somehow underwhelmed by her yet again impressive vocal performance and the cinematic, and this time more orchestral based production.
A lovely and interesting mix of strings, distorted 808s, and angsty synths; a project which gets better with each track. Nearly every song is proceeded by an ... read more
