Nickelback - All the Right Reasons
32

I’m embarrassed to say I already knew half of a Nickelback record, but it’s true. Is the hate they’re getting deserved? Probably not, but it is just the typical music your redneck uncle would listen to. So it’s by default bad.

I could say some instrumentals go hard, but the singing is just so ass it ruins all the fun. Ooh and let’s not start talking about the lyrics… ‘It’s just a little hard to leave, when you go down on me.’ wasn’t ... read more

Lewis Capaldi - Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent
55

I think Lewis has a really cool voice and is a very charismatic guy. I even think he's absolutely hilarious, but I don't think it completely translates into great music. He is able to resonate some emotion here and there, but overall it is pretty basic sad boy music. I'm still here for it though, it is definitely better than a lot of people in the same lane. With some more work I think he could become the male version of Adele though.

My favorite song on here is definitely ... read more

Post Malone - Twelve Carat Toothache
61

A lot of people seem to dislike this record. I think it's the most sincere Post Malone has ever sounded. I have to agree the production might not always be all that interesting, but the emotion and lyrical context carry it enough for me to make it 'enjoyable' music. He seemed to be really stuck at this point in his life.

There are some songs that can't resonate the sadness other tracks on here can for instance 'Cooped Up', 'Wrapped Around Your Finger' ... read more

Let's start off by stating the obvious: making an album with Dr. Luke, a well-known sexual abuser, is absolutely disgusting and you deserve all the hate that comes your way. Especially, when you're trying to make a feminist anthem with 'WOMAN'S WORLD'. But, even without Dr. Luke being involved it's still the most pretentious and surface level shit ever.

If Katy isn't pushing that painfully transparent 'feminist' agenda, she's trying way too ... read more

Linkin Park - Meteora
76

Linkin Park follow up their debut album with a banger! They continue on the same tour as they did on 'Hybrid's Theory'. Chester still speaks his heart out over these hard hitting metal instrumentals. It's incredible how good Mike and Chester sound together. I do think it is good for them to switch it up after this as it is still very fun. But it can get into a realm where it all sounds quite similar. They did change it up for 'Nobody's Listening' and ... read more

Linkin Park - One More Light
48

Knowing Chester passed away a couple weeks later makes the lyrics of these tracks hit way harder, talking about knowing can help him but himself. But it's frankly kind of a lackluster and boring project all together. I guess it's kinda cool they make a change in their genre this far into their careers, but it is just not really working for me.

The only song that was able to resonate some sadness for me is the title track 'One More Light'.

Post Malone - F-1 Trillion
38

Okaay I don't like country at all. So I knew I was probably not gonna enjoy this record, and I didn't. I won't listen to it again. But what I do think is important is that Post Malone sounds happy making this type of music. I don't think I've seen him smile this much ever. So it's good to see he's come clean from some drugs and got his life together a bit. I do feel liike Malone's voice works well with the country sound, and I don't dislike his voice ... read more

Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman
67

Even though 'Dangerous Woman' is in my top 3 Ariana songs, this album is sadly really a mixed bag of songs. One problem I have is that rappers with Ariana don't really work for me (apart from Mac Miller). I mean Lil Wayne's voice is always annoying even though his verse is kinda funny. Other songs I feel are a bit dated and should be left in the 2010s. But Ariana's vocals are always amazing, so that will always make a song more listenable

Apart from 'Dangerous ... read more

ReneƩ Rapp - Everything To Everyone
80

This EP already hints at the potential that would fully blossom on 'Snow Angel'. While her confident attitude isn’t as present here yet, this collection of emotional ballads and some fun pop tracks is still fantastic. The vocals are out of this world, yet packed with emotional depth, making each track resonate in its own way!

Post Malone - Stoney
59

I thought I’d really enjoy this record, especially since I genuinely like some of the major hits on it. But sadly, the rest of the album surrounding those hits feels pretty mediocre. Post shows he can write a great chorus, but on several tracks, they just don’t have the punch you’d like. 'Too Young' is a good example of that, you just get bored of it so quickly.

Lyrically, the album isn’t particularly interesting either. Which is not something I expected from ... read more

Fred again.. - ten days
40

Normally Fred can bring something interesting to house music for me. But this record is really a nothing burger for me to be honest. I mean it goes without saying that the interludes before every track are definitely distracting. Maybe it has some okay ideas, like 'just stand there'. I just would've loved singing vocals rather than spoken-word over that production.

Honestly the songs are so long and one dimensional. It's supposed to be progressive house I guess? But ... read more

The Weeknd - After Hours
85

Where 'Starboy' can be a bit of a mixed back this album is just pure amazement. Abel is able to conquer this genre of synthpop and make it his own again. For some reason his sound is so unique and comparing these instrumentals with his voice and sad lyrics about knowing he messed up in a relationship, but also his problems with drugs and empathy makes for a fantastic record that is 'After Hours'.

I also feel like this music can be listened to at any moment, which is ... read more

RAYE - My 21st Century Blues
79

Raye is a fucking queen, I can't say it in any other way. I think she brings such a unique sound to her songs. Also the topics she picks for her songs are very important, obviously break-up, but also body dysmorphia, substance abuse and female empowerment. It's honestly beautiful to see how confident she feels in her skin on this record, while explaining how it's been different when she was younger.

This is a beautiful piece of soul music with her own sauce over it. With ... read more

Halsey - BADLANDS
45

Halsey is an artist for me that's not that 'well-known' for her own music. I honestly knew her mostly from some features she's done. If I met her on the streets I'd probably walk right past her because I have no idea what she looks like. Which might be an artist's dream? To make music, millions of dollars but don't need security everywhere you go? I could definitely see that you'd want your face or name linked to your music, as you're proud of it. So ... read more

Adele - 30
85

I remember I really needed to get used to this latest Adele record when it came out. Now that she has announced her long break (15 years possibly). I thought it'd be a good time to review it.

I definitely think it's a record that shows Adele has matured a lot since her last record. Overall it feels like a beautiful homage towards her son, after getting the feeling she's not been there for him enough in difficult times of her own. Trying to fix it and find a way for Angelo to ... read more

Adele - 19
67

You can tell this is Adele's first record. I get the feeling on '21' she really found her sound. But there's already glimpses of greatness on this record. Some songs I just feel like she hasn't found her full potential in her voice yet, 'Crazy For You'. That track is also just too slow for me, so it gets boring pretty quickly. I'm also not a fan of the bells on 'First Love'.

I do think 'Make You Feel My Love' is a fantastic cover of ... read more

Adele - 25

Adele... what a star. I find it kind of hard to review and rate her albums, because it was such a big part of my childhood and some songs are so overplayed I can't even really listen to them anymore ('Hello'). But because it was such a big part of my childhood it also holds a lot of nostalgic feelings.

Unlike her previous album '21', I think her biggest hits on this album are some of the 'worse' songs on this record (apart from 'When We Were ... read more

Miley Cyrus - Younger Now
41

Miley Cyrus followed her roots with this one. But it's not the Miley I like listening to. I think 'Malibu' is a cute and decent pop-rock track. But the rest being mostly country-pop makes it either boring or hard to listen to for me. I thought the Dolly feature was certainly painful. Also when a song is already boring it hurts even more when it's somewhere around 4 minutes...

Miley Cyrus - SHE IS COMING
35

This is an era of Miley I completely missed out on. But it seems like I didn't miss much.

At first glance I was like: 'These features are... interesting?'. And then you find out Ghostface Killah is just tagged at the end for an outro. I gotta say I didn't see a RuPaul feature ever go right, but holy shit this was trash. I can understand Miley wants to experiment with different sounds... but I don't even dare to say this is a sound…

Miley Cyrus - Plastic Hearts
74

This is definitely Miley's best project yet. On this project she projects a middlefinger to the world and shows real confidence and self-esteem. I think the pop-rock instrumentals fit perfectly with her raspy tone and vocal delivery.
I love Miley's voice on this pop-rock record, although her voice never disappoints in my opinion, lovely rasp.

I do think the 2nd leg of this album falls a bit more flat than the previous half. It loses it's really rocky vibe and goes more for a ... read more

That's fine, yes there were other issues with that movie that weren't a great look for Sia, but this wasn't the issue lol."
