How did this goofball ever get famous? Like he's honestly most known for his features on other tracks and I think he's best on there. A project on his own isn't it. It's impressive to sound uninspired on your debut album.

I have been a fan of Billie Eilish right from the start, she's got me through the tough teenage years with her debut album. With that in mind I never thought a Billie Eilish record could top that for me. But this album in a way gets very very close. You can feel that Billie is matured on this record. I love how it's still just her and Finneas working on the music. Even though she's such a big star and could afford any producer... she says no and stays to the roots, incredible. ... read more
Mabu's first effort for sure isn't great. I did think the gimmick at the start was kinda fun on a track like 'RICH SCHOLAR' and that it triggered so many people was funny too. I have to say that 'OPPY DAY' did make me laugh. But on this album he's just a spoiled brat talking about living on the streets. Even the beat selection is so mediocre and similar. I love one thing about this album... the songs are short.

If there's one thing that makes me uncomfortable, it's Jason Derulo trying to be sensual and 'talking dirty'. Holy fuck it hurts. And from his lyrics you can tell how shallow this dude is, especially on a track like 'Tattoos': "I can't get over you, because the sex is good". Also on 'Trumpets' you probably got the fakest trumpets you'll ever hear lol. This is not even generic pop, it's terrible pop periodt.

This guy is unironically the worst mainstream artist of the 2010s, yes worse than Meghan Trainor. Like it's got to the point that it's so bad it's funny at times, but if you think about it... it's kinda tragic, yet mesmerizing how he rose to fame.
This record aged even worse, and it was already terrible 14 years ago... I'm sorry they censored 'shit' on this record! Put the autotune on 100% and thought it'd work? Also why is he moaning so much when ... read more
As a massive (former) Shawn Mendes fan I somehow never listened to this record. So the problem this album will face is that it doesn't have a nostalgia factor to me.
Normally I'm not really a big fan of intros/outros, but this intro is kinda cute. I think it's good Shawn tries out some different sounds (Like 'Call My Friends', 'Dream' and ‘Always Been You’), even though it's not all my favorite, but otherwise he becomes way too one ... read more
This is still a decent record and objectively probably his best at this point in his career, but it doesn't have the same nostalgia for me as the previous 2 records do. But this album certainly has the most interesting instrumentals by Shawn thus far. I can see why people think it's boring but it honestly kinda feels like a warm blanket to me. Even though the lyrics are sad it feels cozy. Apart from 'In My Blood', which is more emotional and powerful, it actually hurts. ... read more
This is what 'Teenage Dream', the album, should've been. This album is way more consistent in quality, the less popular songs are actually good too. I think the singles on 'Teenage Dream' have more nostalgia for me and higher level of quality, but the deep cuts suck. Maybe at the back-end of the record it is a bit more dull, but still better than the deep cuts on the previous album.

A man with an amazing raspy voice and with an okay album. I'd give him his flowers for not writing only boring songs around something that's obviously a hit 'Lose Control', the other instrumentals for the first half are actually kinda fun. But the 2nd half is too slow and boring to be interesting. His voice or lyricism can't carry him through this part.

Okaay this album is the pinnacle of rap songs that I think don’t do anything outstanding, but I'd never be mad when it's on. It has some interesting beats and structures, but nothing ground-breaking. I do have to say that towards the end of the record they go really hard with 'COLE PIMP', 'HIT THE FLOOR' and 'HOODLUMZ'. These beats are absolutely dirty with great features allround.

I heard it’d be on similar topics as Chappel Roan on her debut album and I’m loving this female empowerment portrait through these albums. But this sonically didn't even compete with Chappell’s record. Sometimes it is a bit boring, other times it is just absolutely absurd. For instance on the chorus of the title track, it's a bit of a mess.
She uses a lot of choir-ish layered vocals that can be cool, but it's a bit too much on this record for me. Overall it ... read more
EDIT (80 -> 88):
It's been nearly a year since this album dropped and it's been absolutely fantastic. There's a reason last year's summer was marked as ' A Brat Summer'. Charli did an amazing job with this record. Whatever I said before? I must've been in an overstimulated fase or something, because this album absolutely slaps!
Old review:
Okay this one is hard for me. The album just feels a bit too overstimulating most of the time, so I wouldn't ... read more
Okay this guy is so one dimensional I'm happy he got some features on here. Like it does feel like he was in his own lane, but damn it's all so similar. I do feel like this record has a bit more hits and catchier beats here and there then 'Meet The Woo'. Therefore it gets a slightly higher rating.

As someone who isn't majorly into drill, as it just feels like immature boys flexing. I feel like Pop Smoke can pull it off. I feel like he has the voice, the delivery that you believe him in a way. I do have to say that everything sounds very similar, talking about the same stuff and somewhat ominous drill beats.

Wow... I'm honestly lost for words. This is so much more than an album. This is an audible movie. The way Quadeca is able to set such a scene is one of the most incredible things I have ever heard. Writing an album about your own suicide and being the ghost roaming around earth to see how people feel now that you're gone…
I believe there is no one like him doing it with this capacity. It’s incredible and I can’t wait for his new release this year. Honestly, ... read more
Wow, okay I kinda like the emo rap angle from MGK here. Talking about his relations with his mom or the lack of it. It's the first time he sounds sincere. It is a bit top heavy but overall a very decent record for MGK. My favorite track is still the last one, which feels like the start of his pop-punk career. Although he never made a banger like 'I Think I'm OKAY' ever again.'

I remember listening to this and thinking it's not that bad, so I thought I was gonna defend it in a revisit to review it. Well I don't know what I was on but this actually ass. I do think there are a couple 'highlights' (take that lightly), but I think 'born with horns' and 'maybe' are very listenable. But overall it is probably worse than 'Ticket To My Downfall'.
Lil Wayne and MGK is the weirdest combo I never expected, hopefully never ... read more
This is the worst thing that I have ever heard. Acting like a schoolshooter, bitch what?
Whenever I decide to torture someone... I now know what to use.
Listening to this.... I'm happy mgk started making pop punk music. Holy shit this is terrible. It's honestly incredible how you build such a terrible project around your Eminem diss, which was okay.
