What the fuck is she doing. The singles leading up to this were already ass, especially 'I LUV IT' with the weakest chorus of the year. She can normally have quite a powerful voice, but that's completely lost on this record. The autotune is honestly painful at points on this record. There is not a good song on here. I honestly don't know how any of these songs made it out of the studio. The cocky attitude through it all makes her also very unlikeable.

This guy's voice is so calming. When I listen to this record while I'm stressed it just calms me right down. The trumpets and piano are just so perfectly balanced and soothing. But some of the songs can also be used as absolute tearjerkers, talking about the difficulty of love. It is an amazing record that withstood the test of time so incredibly well.

This record is so refreshing for the pop culture we live in right now. Especially the sub genre dance pop, which gets tarnished with mediocre to terrible records over the past 10 years.
It has incredible vocals, super danceable and interesting instrumentals. But here and there also a more stripped back track that also does it's job, for instance 'Coffee' or 'Kaleidoscope'. But the super danceable and explosive songs are certainly my favorites on this record!

The most half-baked record by YUNGBLUD. Some of the stuff is so corny and bland. I know people think that for most of his stuff, but this (to me) is completely without the personality he's able to portray in other tracks. Also the fact there are tracks on here under the 2 minutes just shows how rushed this is.
The vocals on 'I Cry 2' are just absolutely obnoxious. Worst track on here for sure. I'm just very disappointed in this record, but it is what it is, I ... read more
Even though I already like some of the songs on here. I think he has so much more potential to be unlocked. For instance he's done some features for Bring Me To The Horizon. I think he shines way more on an instrumental like that, than some of these somewhat lackluster pop-rock instrumentals.
Overall I think the topics he sings about are strong, talking about his lack of acceptance and up-bringing from his parents and his depressive thoughts surrounding that all.
One of the best tracks ... read more
It is pretty animated in the vocals, but honestly I'm here for it. I absolutely love YUNGBLUD. I think his accent just works so well for it and I'm a big fan of the whole persona YUNGBLUD is. There are certainly bad songs on here 'braindead!' and 'waiting on the weekend'.
Unironically I think Dan's and Dominic's voices work really well together on 'original me'. And my favorite track on here is definitely 'the underrated youth'. The ... read more
This record has a couple bangers on it. But it is mostly sub par, and sometimes even annoying to be honest. The way he SKKRTs his way through 'Foot Fungus' is just awful.
I think he has a pretty cool voice and delivery. But it's mostly the beats that let it down for me. It's just not that interesting.
But his singing vocals on 'U and I' are pretty poor.

This is the kind of album that is hard to even rate... It is so gut-punching and sad that you don't like it, but you know it is exceptional that it can do that to you. This album puts you back on both your feet and lets you think about the possibility of the death of one of your loved ones.
There's not a bad song on this album. I do have to say 'Goodbye' makes some really interesting stylistic choices. And I'm not sure it fits with the rest of the album, but it is certainly a cool and good ... read more
The amount of streams on this album is absolutely insane... and I always thought his 2nd album was the big one.
Malone's raspy and riverbed voice is definitely a trade mark he profited massively, but on this record there's only a handful of songs I enjoy. Most of it is just okay, but not mind-blowing.
My favorite track is 'Take What You Want'. Who would've expected to have Ozzy Osbourne, Post Malone and Travis Scott on the same track, and have it work? Not me. The mix of trap and rock is ... read more
Juice is easily one of the best to ever touch the emo-rap genre. Even though it was a massive wave in the late 2010s, Juice just stood out with his voice, delivery and lyricism.
It's just such a shame he passed away so young. I know the music industry can be a tough world, but considering his lyrical context on this album, I'd like to think his close circle would've been more cautious about his situation and drug abuse. It's clear some of them did care, and at some point ... read more
It's quite bizarre how fun these 17 minutes are compared to his latest project '14 minutes'. While this is called a demo. It has a fun indie vibe, with some decent flows here and there. I actually think his voice is really cool.
It is overall a mixed back but there are certainly songs on here I come back to.
Tracklist: 67/100

This feels like a fun idea that wasn't finished yet, but he didn't know how to finish it... so he just dropped it. It has some fun ideas, but it's not quite there yet. It certainly has cute moments, but not enough to peak my interest.
'bowie box' is the only song that piqued my interest. Even though it still feels demo-ish. It has enough emotion to make it a decent track.
Tracklist: 49/100
Vibes: 50/100
The fact the best thing this band probably brought us is the joke 'Imagine Draggin Deez Nuts' is kinda embarrassing.
I think this record suffers the same as 'Night Visions': Overproduced uninteresting vocals, terrible lyrics, overall mind-numbing songs.
The one song that misses those criteria is 'Believer'. It is still very overproduced and grand, but it is an alright arena rock track.
Tracklist: 30/100
Vibes: 25/100
I'm honestly not sure how this band became as massive as they are. I guess they do make great radio/commercial music, but being one of the biggest bands of the 2010s is crazy.
I mean this album is just boring. The really big songs are probably most interesting but everyone's been so overexposed to them that you'll still hate it. 'It's Time' just sounds like 'Best Day Of My Life' by American Authors. I did see the Imagine Dragons release was actually earlier.... so I guess credits for that? ... read more
I think it is hard for someone that is pretty new to hip-hop, trying to appreciate what these albums have meant to people. I can mostly just rate what I like about it sonically, and it certainly has some great moments on here that I really enjoyed. Here and there even a nice message like talking about police brutality against African-Americans. The skit on 'The Beast' feels a bit too animated to me though, a little bit cringeworthy.
I personally think Lauryn Hill carries a lot on this record. ... read more
Lana's first album on streaming platforms. As one of my favorite artists of all-time. Her melancholy voice flowing over beautiful artsy melodies has always been amazing to me. Here she talks about past relationships she's had, and even though she knows some of them were certainly bad for her, she still loves them.
I do have to say that I'd consider this to be one of her 'worst' albums. It feels like she's still trying to find what her sound really is, trying out ... read more
Dua Lipa comes back with a new album. With the singles it was giving a similar vibe to 'Future Nostalgia'. Very much a disco sound. But a lot on this album gives us a different vibe than that.
The singles I was a bit split on, I thought 'Houdini' and 'Training Season' are cool and decent tracks, but far from her best and 'Illusion' felt quite boring to me. Some songs on here are not as danceable as I might've wanted from Dua. I think the opening track 'End of an Era' is an absolute banger. But ... read more
Sia always has had an incredible voice and that's no different on most of this record. But this tracks aren't great. they mostly lack real emotion and creativity in my opinion. She seems to have lost the ability of great songwriting after the scandal with her movie, being harmful and ableist towards autistic people.
Getting Chaka Khan, a 71 year old, to say "I'ma Slay'' is just... interesting to say the least. Overall that track isn't great either. The only track I actually like on here ... read more
Personally I think Jess Glynne is an underrated pop artist. She certainly had some hits in the 2010s, but I feel like everyone forgot about her. She has an amazing voice with cool dance instrumentations. To me she's way better than someone like Anne-Marie or many other British dance-pop artists.
I do think she shines better on the dancier tracks than the ballad tracks. Her voice sounds amazing on both, but the lyrical ability is just not there to carry a ballad that well. 'My Love' is just ... read more
Undoubtedly Maroon 5's biggest album. It also has some great to decent hits on it. But for the most of it falls back into the blandness they seem to put themselves under in the 2010s.
By far the best track on here is the opening track 'Maps'. I love the chorus so much, even though it is corny it is really catchy. Also I'll always be a sucker for 'Sugar'. Also cornballing it hard here, but it makes your head bop. The last huge hit on here, ´Animals´, is just a creepy stalker song ... read more
