Diamonds & Dancefloors is very easy to consume. It is a solid dance-pop album, but it has its flaws.
This album has no versatility, which is not bad, but it starts to become a problem when the songs are similar in every way. Song durations are similar, songs start the same way, and every song has the same structure. You find yourself bored when you reach the B side of the album. Wow, this is really bad. There is not a single interesting thing about this. There are some mixing problems as well.
Married in Mount Airy definitely has its ups and downs, but it's a solid album. Lyrics are where the album shines through. They are beautiful and unique; however, they are not enough to save the album from being monotonous sometimes.
I think Ethel Cain fans would like this one.
Instrumental albums are not my thing, but it's okay. I have to admit that the first leg of the project sounds fantastic. It started to feel a bit repetitive after the first half. I don't see myself revisiting this.
