Having to listen to this album after not hearing it for a while just rejuvenates why i love vampire weekend and music so much. A lot of the African elements from their last 2 albums are noticably (for the most part) are gone with the exchange for a more mature song topics and dreamy chamber pop production. I love how this album deals with death, religion, the importance of time and taking risks and the rise and fall of a relationship with your significant other.
