definitely better than the twits imo, a pretty cool album that feels new yet 90s at the same time
does a lot of what’s new and fresh in the indie rock scene right now to a… decent enough standard
an intimate, fragile album that sucks you into its world with melancholic indie rock paired alongside spacey electronic melodies. a great listen.
[83 -> 85] on relistening, this album somehow creates such an unsettling atmosphere that portrays the story of Jed so well. of course i love how this thing sounds too
this thing is such a bop front to back it feels way more modern than it is, so groovy, so fun
the same guy made that owl city sounding ass album by the postal service
not huge on the vocals but it does create a good atmosphere
in a year where i’ve listened to about 160 releases from that year, it’s funny that one i check out 3 days into the next one is going to end up as one of my favourites… what a beautiful, touching, well written record
holy… no idea why i held this off for so long, it’s so infectious, especially the 3 track run starting with Angels in Tibet
relisten: 78->80
i underrated this thing, the 2nd half brings it down a little but i enjoyed this listen!
had some decent tracks but overall felt rather unexciting
