Doesn’t have as many Beatles all-timer songs for me as Help! (although it does have “In My Life” and “I’m Looking Through You” which are crazy), but this is definitely more consistent and cohesive as an album.
I like R&B Jack Harlow! Not quite as good as the best stuff on Jackman but a cool little detour for him
Some of the deep cuts here I’m not crazy about, but the highs here are crazy (especially “Yesterday”, which might be the best written song ever. “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” is nuts too).
Probably the best depiction of grief I’ve encountered. Unbelievable.
First half is better than the second and it’s generally not striving very high but it’s pretty good while it’s on. Would like to see Denzel aiming higher and putting more effort in though.
Even if it doesn't have anything that quite hits the high of "Holding" or "24/7" for me, this deluxe/new batch of songs that I'm considering a new project are really consistent and a bit more refined than the original album. Slayr has so much potential.
Enjoyable while it’s on and consistent pretty good, but rarely becomes great. Like the production a lot though.
Very pleasantly surprised considering the middling reception. Yes it’s a bit bland, especially on the songwriting front, and you can definitely tell it doesn’t have the highest effort on Bruno’s end (it for sure feels like an album made to pay off his gambling debts lol), and yet…I really liked it and I kinda think it might be his most consistently “really good” solo album?? It doesn’t have the massive mega hit highs of his previous three albums, but ... read more
His most consistent album, even if the highs aren’t as high as the highs for me on his first two albums.
Songwriting is overall a little weaker than his debut and the album is a bit more inconsistent, with higher highs than his debut, but also lower lows. But this is still really good overall and has a handful of fantastic, best of the decade pop tracks that I’m super nostalgic for
Really good and shows a lot of growth for Baby Keem on the writing front ("I am not a lyricist" and "No Blame" are maybe his two best written songs), and he at times sounds like a completely different person (I thought Andre 3000 was a feature like 6 different times). It's a little underwhelming considering the long wait, but it still has a lot going for it, especially the production.
