Kevin & the Bikes - Dorkcore 101

It really makes you FEEL like Kevin.

The Microphones - Mount Eerie

This is one of the best concept albums of all time.

Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind

This album is not easy. It's about 2½ hours long and there's a lot happening. There's live recordings of punk rock songs mixed in with 5 minute drones and beautiful builds and whatever the hell volcano is, but it all comes together so tightly and coherently. It's strange, but it all works together so well. With this difficulty as far as the size of this album is concerned, I think that it's easier to get into it knowing that there are 5 main songs. Helpless Child, Animus, The Sound ... read more

Red House Painters - Red House Painters (Rollercoaster)
99

This album is my most recent craving. This is a discography I'm gonna thoroughly explore.

Edit: hey, I'm back after exploring his discography. He's my favorite artist ever now.

Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me
97

This album is about death. Specifically the death of Phil's wife. It is incredibly hard to listen to. This isn't much of a review, but it's hard to do that with this album. There's not much in the way of instrumentation, and I've pretty much already covered the lyrics. Even reviewing this album seems slightly disrespectful, but I think it's a very important listen.

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE

Try and stop me.

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
95

I regret nothing, but I hope you don't disregard my opinion because of this. I like this album. A lot. I think it's the best thing Childish Gambino's created thus far, and one of the best commercial rap projects of this decade. Odds are, you don't. I've read your reviews. You've torn apart the concept and any attempts at "wokeness" Don aims for on this album. I'll admit to its flaws. I'm not gonna sit here and say that those things add to the appeal of this album. Instead what I'll ... read more

Open Mike Eagle - Brick Body Kids Still Daydream

This album left a hole in my soul. It goes from a subtle nostalgic song about trying to find a radio to an abrasive song about his childhood home being torn down. I was saddened by this.

Quelle Chris & Chris Keys - Innocent Country
80

Pianos are neat. So is talking to God. Quelle Chris combines these two neat things creating a good album.

Jean Grae & Quelle Chris - Everything's Fine
89

Quelle Chris spared some of his humurous lyrics for a more emotionally potent and focused album. Also Jean Grae is here.

Quelle Chris - Being You Is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often

Quelle Chris is awesome. I want to give him a hug.

Drake - Scorpion

Viper - You'll Cowards Don't Even Smoke Crack

I didn't know whether to give this a 69 to maintain the average of 69, or to give this a 100 because of the beauty that is viper's existence. I'll switch it back and forth every once in a while.

Lil B - Gods Father

I Love You actually made me cry.

Best project of 2010/10

Playboi Carti - Die Lit

I produced 1 million dollars for my mother from mumbling in my rap music.
