GZA doesn't dissapoint with this album, but it's definetely more boring than Liquid Swords in pretty much every stat.
The production is a hit or miss, it's usually pretty decent but there are some beats that I enjoy less than the others.
When listening to this album I sometimes forgot that GZA even made this, considering how many features there are on here, which isn't very common for Wu-Tang albums especially.
I ain't really feeling a concept on this album unlike his ... read more
I love the concept of this album more than any other Wu-Tang album, the artwork itself on the album cover itself is already insanely good, so you can just tell that the album won't be any worse.
One of my earliest listens ever since I started using AOTY, and this album definetely changed my perspective on Boom Bap, so this is definetely one of those albums that perfectly represent the genre by simply sounding good.
I feel like the album has some sort of story through-out, and if it ... read more
Who the hell made this tracklist, I couldn't find a single platform that has the tracklist in the same order as it is here
GZA was the only Wu-Tang member to have an album made before 36 Chambers, and though it isn't very good, you could definetely tell that his music career would get better later on.
The production here is definetely great, but I'm not a fan of GZA's rapping on this album, mainly the lyricism, some of the songs are just fucking weird, straight up. I like ... read more
This should definetely be talked about more frequently, and it's a Must-Hear in my opinion, but it's still close enough so I don't have any big problems with the score being surprisingly low.
I got to work right away when I saw this this album is Jazz Rap, and I already had it on my radar, but I didn't know that it was Jazz Rap until now, cus I don't really pay attention to the genre.
Ghostface's rapping actually really fits the Jazzy production, there could ... read more
Method Man's performance on 36 Chambers was really great so I'm glad he has an album that can technically recreate the best time of his career.
I have mixed opinions on this album, but I enjoyed most of it. It has some weaker points, but they're still listenable, and the high points definetely make up for the lows, so there's no need to hate on the worse songs.
Production is great, obviously. I'm not surprised RZA produced this, every Wu-Tang album you go, he's ... read more
I got insanely bored of listening to the same genre over and over so I decided to try an album of a genre I've never heard before, and this is definetely a great choice for that matter.
Possibly one of the most relaxing albums I've ever heard, her voice is literally gifted by God, one of the most angelic voices I've had to let my ears witness.
I'm new to this genre so I definetely can't say much about it, the production is definetely great aswell, it's a key to ... read more
I know it's pretty much the kickstart for Hip-Hop but I couldn't enjoy the album as good as the rating says it is.
It's not a terrible album but there aren't really any moments that make it special to me, neither did I get blown away by how ahead of it's time it was. It truly wasn't.
Alongside that, the instrumentals are unnecessary as hell too. The songs are already pretty boring and repetitive, and the instrumentals are not any different, infact they're ... read more
Production is definetely enjoyable but the lyricism on this is hella immature
One of the albums I had on my radar cus I randomly discovered it through smart shuffle and I kinda liked the beats so I thought it would be a pretty fun listen, I just took a while to actually hear it. Slightly dissapointed but it's still something.
I know that it's Gangsta Rap and the lyrics will always be controversial, but goddamn, they're crossing the line when it comes to controversial ... read more
Chuck D might be one of my favourite lead singers in Hip Hop, it's crazy how he can drop all these bars alone
Recently started appreciating Public Enemy's music more and more, especially It Takes A Nation of Millions, that is one of my favourite Hip Hop albums in general.
Some people don't appreciate Political Hip Hop enough, it's arguably in the top 5 when it comes to Hip Hop subgenres, MAYBE top 6 because there aren't as much Political albums as other great subgenres ... read more
This was worth the wait, I could just tell that it would be good
I honestly didn't expect them to drop an album, this year had some crazy comebacks for Hip Hop legends.
Devastating how Prodigy couldn't witness this album being released, R.I.P.
The features on this album were super unexpected too, they have prime Clipse, Nas and arguably the best Wu-Tang members on the same album, how crazy is that?
Not a huge fan of the production but it's still somewhat enjoyable, though I ... read more
Great production but the lyricism is absolutely diabolical
I couldn't choose a DJ Quik album to listen to so I just chose this one because it's the highest rated one on AOTY, the track ratings are quite overrated but anyways.
Quik can definetely make some great beats and all that but his rapping - I'm not a huge fan of. His flow is pretty decent but the lyrics here are just.. no..
He's one of those rappers that make their albums all about pussy and.. making money.
But who ... read more

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are practically a duo. Snoop appears on every single Dr. Dre album, so how about a collab album with the two? This is it, and even though Snoop Dogg definetely performs more frequently on this, Dre isn't just the producer, but he's also a great performer on this. He's kinda washed though, so he definetely doesn't do as good as he used to. But still, it's respectable, he's still on the grind, even though he's 60 ... read more
Had higher expectations but it turned out a bit boring, but it's almost 16 years after his most recent album, so I guess it's still good for how long it has been since he made something.
Dre definetely sounds a bit more washed on this album, but there's still many features on this album, so it's not only his performance to be talking about, but also the artists featured on this. Kendrick was especially great on here, but when is he not?
I expected better production, since ... read more
Slightly better than The Chronic but it's still just as good, also lazy-ass cover
Dr. Dre's better known album, also his best seller with a major amount of over 10 million sales worldwide, this album is definetely his second classic, and arguably the better one.
There's less G-Funk elements on this one, but it's still there and there. I can say I'm not a huge fan of G-Funk, but it's still a decent subgenre.
Definetely enjoyed the production here better than his ... read more
Probably would've bought this, but ONLY if Dre had better ideas for an interlude..
One of the most influential Hip Hop albums ever, this is considerably the start of a whole another genre, G-Funk.
Though there were some other artists making similiar stuff, this is widely considered one of the best albums of that genre, definetely not the best, though.
Dr. Dre definetely did a great job on this album, and not only the production, mainly what he's known for, but he also did well rapping ... read more

Stopping here cus I already listened to Man Up and reviewed it, so I gotta put an end to it here (Thank God I don't gotta listen to more of this shit)
YET another bad album from Ice Cube, he hasn't made an enjoyable album in so long.. that's sad. Aged man tries to fit in with the new generation, doesn't work out. He sounds hella corny on this, making a new album was unnecessary.
Obviously, all of the elements on this album are super boring, expected ... read more
8 years to drop something just about the same bad quality as his previous project, time to retire unc.
Yet another booty album from Ice Cube, he just sounds worse and worse down the line of his discography, you gotta let things go with age, ain't no way he thinks he can recreate the sounds he used to make before. Like no, you don't sound like a gangsta, that shit was atleast somewhat believable, but now, he sounds like someone's uncle who forgot to take his meds.
Anyway, I just ... read more
This shit is so bad it's genuinely funny, there's no way this guy is being serious making music like this.
Simply an unlistenable album, not a single song over 2/10, that's how you know it's bad.
The production is absolutely terrible, it's earbreaking and there ain't a single enjoyable beat on this album. His shit performance definetely doesn't make up for that. It's easy to tell Ice Cube doesn't care about the feedback. He just wants the ... read more
Just far too boring to even enjoy, and the stuff he adresses here doesn't make up for how boring the music is.
Production is OK, but that's all I can say, cus sometimes it gets repetitive and even boring to listen to. Never been a fan of the production in Cube's albums ever since the War & Peace series.
Ice Cube tries to give out a message on this album, but simply fails to do that. His performance is quite dissapointing here, but what can I say, I'm still expecting ... read more
I don't even wanna know how bad the rest of his stuff is if it's already this bad
Possibly the most boring album I've ever heard, this being an hour and 4 minutes in lenght can be considered a theft of people's time.
The production is lazy, it's also repetitive, and even when it's somewhat decent, Cube's performance doesn't save it, neither do the featured artists on this album, Snoop Dogg especially.
The high points here are worse than low points on his ... read more
