Better than Vol. 1 but still just as boring as the first War & Peace album
Yet another album where Ice Cube tries to sound angry and intimidating but actually sounds like someone's uncle who overdosed.
He was already washed by the 2000s, so just imagine how bad the rest of his albums will be. I genuinely wanna go back in time and just rethink about wanting to listen to his discography... (over-exaggeration, sorta)
Production is very boring, repetitive and just sounds sleepy in general, ... read more
Damn waste of my time, this should be 40 minutes MAXIMUM
This whole album is a snoozefest bro. Most boring album in his discography so far (I hope there isn't anything to beat that record)
A huge step-down from his previous album, it's way too long for how bad it sounds.
The production is super boring and repetitive through out the whole album, I simply couldn't enjoy a single beat on this album, it wants to sound good but it fails to do that.
Cube's performance was also ... read more
Probably the last Ice Cube project that I'll actually enjoy, that's unfortunate
Oldschool Cube is still present on this album, but you can feel some of the great elements fade away on this album, though the high points are really decent, the low points are simply bad.
The production is pretty decent there and there, but it can get repetitive sometimes.
Obviously, Ice Cube's skills are still there, just maybe he sounds slightly older than he did before. That buzz cut or whatever ... read more
I hope he's talking about The Predator that Arnold Schwarzenegger was tryna catch, not.. you get what I mean.
If he would've kept up with the songs as good as he did on the first half of this album, it would definetely be better, but he couldn't, so what can I say, I only really enjoyed the first half.
Definetely the most enjoyable production out of his first three albums, but the lyricism takes a step down, so the beats don't really make up for that.
On most of the songs ... read more
Things take a dark turn on this album. Ice Cube abuses his right of freedom of speech and drops some insane, brutally honest songs on this album, stuff gets a lot more political.
He somehow made that stuff sound good aswell, which is pretty crazy, considering how diabolical some of the stuff he says is.
Production varies, but in a good way, cus most of the beats are pretty different through out the album, but they sound great eitherway, just, they sound different most of the time.
Production ... read more
This is pretty much AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted 2, which makes sense, cus it was made shortly after it.
Still, definitely a great and overlooked EP, having quite a few great songs. The production is just as good, but the remixes are kinda unnecessary, but whatever, GOMDATYBTCH remix is practically a whole 'nother song, so there's only really 1 remix here, which is still pretty decent.
Ignoring the last 2 tracks, which are completely NOT supposed to be songs, rather just an interlude, ... read more
I have chosen death.. this is the next discography I'm gonna try and finish.
Obviously, a great start to it. Ice Cube makes a great solo project after leaving N.W.A., great choice, he didn't have to deal with Jerry Heller's bs, and also made a good album (obviously made bands too).
I love the funky production here, it's so fun to listen to. Most of the songs are produced really well, definetely one of my favourite beats in an album made in the 90s.
There's some ... read more
I saw this album for a good price today, but the only thing stopping me from getting it was the fact that I haven't listened to it, though I was holding back, since I've been hearing lots of good feedback and praise on this album. I hate doing blind buys, so I decided to listen to it first. Now that I've heard it, It's still a hard choice for me..
I really don't know what to do. I like the album, but some of the songs threw me off a bit. Not that they're terrible, ... read more
This thing is just skit after skit, that stuff is so unnecessary, considering how they aren't even good.
With that excluded, the compilation is OK, but I've never been surprised from a Wu-Tang project after their first two, stuff got really boring and repetitive after them, so I was already expecting nothing crazy.
The production here is alright, still slightly boring though. The performance from the artists is nothing surprising, too, same old Wu-Tang. Well maybe not the same, since ... read more
Another example of an album that doesn't get the recognition it deserves, I'm glad it's somewhat popular, but still, could be more known.
O.P.P was definetely an impactful song for Hip-Hop, this album was certainly ahead of it's time with some of these songs, not just the most popular one, though it's safe to say that it was the most unique song here.
Also, respect to them, because this is one of the few scenarios where the production really doesn't matter. Their ... read more
Eazy-E hater listens to his discography, VOL. 4 [The Final]
This album is unnecessarily long, but I guess it's his last album, so they decided to give us the most they can to let him go or something, anyways, R.I.P.
His worst album, not counting 5150 cus it's just short as hell. The production is still pretty good, DJ Yella is actually better than I thought he was.
Also, what do you mean Naughty By Nature is a producer on this??? I didn't even know they produce for other ... read more
Eazy-E hater listens to his discography, VOL. 3
Bro was just dissing Dre and Snoop all the time, crazy how their disstrack wasn't even that crazy and Eazy still responded with a whole EP just to diss them lol
Eazy's best project IMO, though it's still quite weak and just lacks proper lyrics and like I said before, I'm not a fan of Eazy's flow and delivery, he could've improved it by then.
The production is pretty good, the beats carry his music I'm gonna be ... read more
Eazy-E hater listens to his discography, VOL. 2
This stuff is way too short, I guess it's a Maxi-Single, like it says on the cover. Still, it could be better if it was longer, but whatever, it's very edgy and I don't think he could keep up with the stuff that's on here. I can bet the songs would go downhill, they lowkey did.
Also the Christmas song is the stupidest thing ever, but it's definetely one of the few songs to make me laugh.
I ain't got much to say here, ... read more
Eazy-E hater listens to his discography, VOL. 1
Already a bad start, considering that some people call this his best album, I don't have high hopes for the rest of his projects.
I'm not exactly a huge hater of Eazy, I'm more of a hater when it comes to his community. Most of the people that speak tons about Eazy and not any other artists are new Hip-Hop fans, and they always think that he's the reason Gangsta Rap got popular.
That's just a stupid and biased opinion, ... read more
Started missing Soul music so I thought I'd come back to one my favourite Soul artists
This album was quite relaxing, but not as much as What's Going On, cus Marvin sounds a bit drunk on some of these songs..
He keeps showing how horny he is on this album, but hey, that's what he's gotta do for positive reviews.
I love the instrumentals on this album, Soul instrumentals are definetely some of my favourites, ever.
Marvin's performance varies, but most of the time, he ... read more
Completely random album that I've never heard of whatsoever, I thought "Yeah I'll listen to this because why not". What can I say - it's amazing.
I really didn't expect such a great album considering how random it is to me.. But still, I had my hopes up, it's just better than I expected, so that's cool.
This album is so relaxing, especially when nearing the end of it, the beats are some of the best works of Jazz Rap I've heard before.

I would've bought this already if Biggie had better ideas for an interlude
Really surprised I haven't listened to this album yet, infact I have started listening to it a while ago, but I got halfway, had to go somewhere and then forgot to finish it afterwards.
But anyways, now that I've listened to it, I can say that it's a good thing I remember to listen to it.
Most of the album is really good, B.I.G.'s iconic vocals are a really good point on this album, he's ... read more
Discography #11 complete
It's an alright last album, but still... not really good.
Stuff gets a lot edgier on this album, but atleast the audio quality is definetely better. The lyrics on most of the songs are absolutely horrible, though. They have been getting too desperate for some pussy when making this.
Dissapointing that Ice Cube isn't on this, I can definetely tell that stuff would be better if he still was, but oh well, Jerry Heller's fault, not his.
I can say the ... read more
Forgot this during the discography so... time travel.
N.W.A'.s (and others) first project, really dissapointing, but I was expecting it, because the songs I've heard from this compilation sounded mid already.
I preferred N.W.A'.s songs on this, Fila Fresh Crew just didn't sound good. The production is just bad, it's mostly quiet, getting overtaken by the singer vocals, you can very clearly hear the horrible audio quality in that case.
I just didn't like this ... read more
Just a total mess here, it starts off great, then boom, everything goes downhill
This is just straight up gangster slop, they couldn't do a thing to the police. This thing was just very unnecessary, the only reason to put this out was to diss Ice Cube and the police department, and maybe to teach people how to... not bite it.
This stuff is insanely boring, only good part is the first track, and that's pretty much it.
I don't have much to say about this EP, just a very boring ... read more
