A great start to a legendary series and lil Wayne's first really good album, tha carter is just a really fun and consistent album full of standout tracks from Wayne's career, such as go dj or this is the carter. Won't blow your mind, but it's pretty fun
There's not a whole bunch to say here, but it's really fun. Just a pretty short but exciting ep with some great tracks, my favorite being diet.
Wow
Denzel is one of my favorite rappers ever and I think this is a great middle album for one of my favorite 3 album runs of all time. Every song here is almost perfect, and infeel like this album is really underrated in the catalog. It captures the feel of an older southern hip hop album while still sounding very modern really well. Ricky is one of my favorite zel songs, I also really like wish and automatic and shake 88 a lot. This album just sounds really nice, it's kind of chill but ... read more
There is such a fantastic feeling in finding a new 100 or a new one of your favorite albums
So this album might be my favorite by zel, it would be crazy if mmesyf is a one hundred for me, they're such different albums but they might both be perfect. Idk why I've put off listening to this for so long, it's like my favorite kind of music ever. This is cut into three parts, all of which are absolutely perfect, the first and third are my favorite. Idk if I have a least favorite or ... read more
Another pretty dark project from denzel, this time an ep. The thing is really concise, at only abt ten minutes, but idk it's nothing too crazy. Kinda hard to rate given the length, but it's not really an important project for him, just gives you a glimpse of what was happening before taboo
This album is so consistent. I like practically every song here.denzel has some great flows, he's got some fantastic lyrics(the Darth Vader line is so funny to me idk why), and all the features deliver. I think ult is my favorite song here , but everything here hits for the most part.my only real problem is the production, which can feel pretty basic at times, but otherwise I really enjoy this album
The second half is alright ig but the first half it was no misses. Every track had a fun hook, a great beat, and great flows from denzel. Ultimate is kind of annoying thanks to bottle flip videos, but I still like it and idc
Alright screw all that biography type stuff I just wanna review the album.
So this thing is still curry at a pretty young age, so he's still very hungry, a lot of the beats are kinda dark, and the album has some fantastic tracks. So what's my main problem? Iss just a lil too long, and there is a bit of fluff in here. I do love songs like threatz, like me, and Benz tho. Really good first album, and denzel is rapping like the rent is due on here
I decided that this one was important just bc of the sequel
So, I'm not gonna do the other mixtapes, besides kotms2, mainly bc there ain't a whole lot to say about them, but I'm gonna just talk about the mixtape era here. So, shortly after the first tape was released, spaceghostpurp let denzel into his group, raider klan. Then this one came out, and he got some attention from earl sweatshirt, who was mentioned in an interview that I'll talk abt in the next review. He ... read more
There is no rating on here, as I haven't listened to the tape and don't plan on it either, but I'm going to use this as both an announcement of my current project I'm doing and also to start the project.
First things first ig. I'm doing a denzel discog dive! My main focus here isn't really the music, I really want to focus on the career of the guy, so with every review I want to talk about the point of his career he was at, major things that happened, and how ... read more
Iconic cover.
When I was first getting into music, I felt like I should listen to this thing. I was big into rock, so I saw it on tons of lists on the internet. I was interested in prog rock so it seemed like something I would like. So of course, I never listened to it. I did now though.
This thing is really intrumentally interesting. It can be very heavy on songs like 21st century schizoid man and very beautiful on songs like I talk to the wind. Those are my two favorite songs on here btw. I ... read more

I took a lil bit of a break from reviewing for a few reasons, one being that I've been kind of busy with other stuff. I think the main reason, however, is that I don't know how to talk about this album. I mean I like it a lot. I love the really dark atmosphere, I like the vocalists voice a lot, and the instrumentation is some really good math rock stuff. But that's it. It's really good at doing what it's meant to do, but maybe I just ... read more
Ok my opinion has changed a lot here.
In fact my previous review is the exact opposite of what I feel now. Before I really liked the closing tracks and didn't care for the first half, but now it's the first tracks that I like a lot more. Don't get me wrong I think the last tracks are pretty good still but it's kind of a significant drop in quality between the first and second half. It's not bad it's just kinda boring to me. It's just personal taste coming ... read more
Animal collective try not to use immense amounts of reverb challenge level impossible.
I guess it's trippy. I don't do that stuff so I wouldn't know but whatever. I don't love this thing like others do unfortunately. There are things I still like about it though. I think my favorite song here is the closer brother sport. The energy that track oozes is infectious. I think my main problem with this album is that I could get this in other places and like it much more than I do ... read more
On an older review I noted that the only track I cared about here was when you sleep and that has a little bit of truth still, but on this most recent listen I found more to love about this album. First I'd like to talk about the vocals. They're very dreamy, and they're in the back of the mix most of the time, so they sink right in. They don't feel like the focus that most albums would. It leaves you to focus on the instrumentals. That hazy guitar tone is dreamy. I love it. ... read more
Those first strange, almost alien notes kick off the album, immediately pushing you into the cold atmosphere of the record. Everything in it's right place is iconic just for that, but the rest of the song holds up on its own for how atmospheric it is as well.
Right afterwards is the title track, a song that is almost nice when you're not paying attention, but as soon as you start to, those strange vocals start to become haunting and that little instrumental beat start to repeat ... read more
