Black Country, New Road - Live at Bush Hall
85

After I heard that Isaac had left the band I was interested to see how they were going to do without him and I don't hate it. It's probably my least favorite project from BCNR because even if this had some amazing songs like "Up Song", "I Won't Always Love You" and "Turbines/Pigs" it also had "The Boy" and "Laughing Song" which weren't that great for the bands standard. Overall I loved it and to think that this is just the beginning of the band ... read more

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES

Can’t wait to scare the hoes with this one.

Tkay Maidza - Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2

Found out about her through my rym recommendations and this shit is fire af!!!

Yves Tumor - Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)
80

A great album where some of the best songs are contenders for song of the year imo but is a bit brought down by 2 or 3 mediocre songs.

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
90

After finishing JPEGMAFIA’s discography I considered doing Danny’s too but I couldn’t be bothered to do it all before tomorrow so I decided to listen to the album that I know him for. I was really worried after the first track which I didn’t like but the rest was brilliant and great.

JPEGMAFIA - LP!
90

Definitely the best and most consistent out of all his albums. With his collab tape with Danny Brown tomorrow we’ll see if he can improve on this or not.

JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
80

There were a couple of bad songs that dragged the album down but the songs that I actually like are the best JPEGMAFIA songs I have heard yet.

JPEGMAFIA - Veteran

All the songs in here bangs in a weird way, I love it.

파란노을 [Parannoul] - Let's Walk on the Path of a Blue Cat
61

I don't feel like I appriciate instrumental works like these like I should. Because while it's good, I would enjoy it much more if there was vocals on it (at least in this case) and I feel like im not really moved by it. Because I'm not moved by it, I also think that it just means that this wasn't that special.

파란노을 [Parannoul] - After the Magic
85

This album is something else. When I finished the album, I just let it play again. When I say I love music this album is one of the reasons why. It's very beautiful and I wish that I could understand what he's saying.

Lil Pump - Lil Pump 2
50

The Colombian 2pac strikes again.

I've never been someone to hate on Lil Pump so I was actually a bit excited to see what he cooked up on this album. This album gives you some good tracks that are fun and catchy and also those mediocre songs that made Lil Pump's music as hated as it is. Overall listening to this album is a fun time. He doesn't try to do anything groundbreaking, he just makes songs that are fun to listen to.

100 gecs - 10,000 gecs
80

I really like the direction that 100 gecs went with this album. I think the overall theme of the album and how it sounded is better than the first one, but it wasn't as well executed as the first one as this one had about two or three songs that just didn't feel like they fit in. I loved the pop punk theme they went for and I think it was well implemented on every song which made this a very enjoyable listen. I'm excited to see what they do next and how they progress.

100 gecs - 1000 gecs
80

I wasn't really expecting to think so highly of this coming into it because of their recent EP that I listened to that had 1 song I liked, while the 2 other songs were kinda meh. This album is very different. Every song sends you on a journey of it's own and sounds like nothing that I have ever heard before. It's amazing and very different from other peoples music. If I wasn't excited for 10000 gecs, I certainly am now and I'm lucky I decided to listen to this the day before so the wait won't ... read more

Kelela - Raven
80

A great R&B album. It nearly overstayed it's welcome with it's length, but had a great ending. A lot of great songs that I will surely come back to, but it also declined at the end which lowered the score a bit.

Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation
60

After being plagued with "Flowers" for the latest weeks on TikTok, I had very low expectations for this, but I don't hate it. A lot of the songs were kinda bland and not that interesting, but there are also some songs I like really much like "Thousand Miles", "Muddy Feet" and "Wildcard". Overall I think this was decent and I was left at least feeling some kind of satisfaction.

Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want to Turn Into You
56

This album just didn't do it for me. I was left uninterested pretty much the whole album. I didn't dislike any song in this album really but at the same time none of the songs gave me that feeling that I feel when I'm listening to something I like or even love. I think the instrumentals kinda let her down on most of the songs as I like her vocals but the instrumentals didn't really do her justice on this. Even on some songs that I kinda liked there was always a part that kinda ruined it for me ... read more

Axolotl - Lee
NR

The cover really encapsulates how it feels to be listening to the intro. I imagine myself walking outside in a storm and then after the intro comes a part that reminds me of starting your first minecraft world and having the music in the background while you are mining in the caves. Then in last part the climax comes in and then it suddenly drops after some time and has you back to that walking outside during a storm feeling. Overall, I really like it. I feel like every part served it justice ... read more

Kali Uchis - Red Moon In Venus
82

Aside from "See You Again" by Tyler, The Creator or "4 me" by Don Toliver I had never heard anything from Kali Uchis. I think the first tracks were pretty good but after that I felt like the some songs on the first half of the album got a bit repetetive, which made me worry for the rest of the album. The second half came and it was honestly so great, I even started to stand up and dance lightly in my room from the beginning of "Blue" until pretty much the end of ... read more

slowthai - UGLY
92

Hands down the best slowthai album to date. I'm really happy he explored different genres with this album as I feel like it fits him and his voice much better than the albums before that was purely Hip Hop. Honestly this might be a potential AOTY so far which I didn't expect to say before listening but it's honestly so amazing. I love the emotions he is displaying by his voice and the story on a song like "Never Again" which is a bit heartbreaking and because of how he uses his voice ... read more

I decided to relisten to this as I felt like my previous score of 84 was too low for an album which had songs that I listen to on a nearly daily basis. After I relistened to this I can say that I genuinely believe that this is 100 and is miles better than most artists if they even tried to compile an album of their greatest hits. Every song is just a classic after a classic and they are so amazing. This might make me relisten to the whole trilogy as a whole as I give Thursday a new chance to ... read more
