I have no idea to start this, so I'll just say it.
I was a toxic individual. I was unfair to my bandmates, made everything about myself, treated the formerly-band as a solo project, said disgusting and maybe disturbing things. I treated people unfairly, put pressure on bandmates, and kicked out people. I was selfish. This is far as I can state because the events that unfolded which led to a community exile, dissolution of the band, and losing friends... I can barely remember.
The fact that ... read more
I'm still saddened by the fact that this is the only Slowthai release I have decided to check out, and it's a fuckin post-punk hip hop banger. I've still not checked out his newest album or NGAB, his debut. I did like his performance on "High Beams", from Flume's mixtape. By this point, I should be based or cool enough to check out Show Me the Body since noise rock, political shit, and rap is awesome. Oh, isn't it also PUNK??!?
The lyrics are quite confusing, but to call it confusing ... read more
nuages is one of those artists that, unless you really know me, you don't know are one of my favorite artists oat. They're a UK producer best known for "dreams", a classic of which the YT stream on Fae Child has more than 63 million streams... after that, no one really knows nor cares to check out their other material.
They make downtempo music informed by such things as lo-fi hip hop, ambient, and a little bit of future garage. They are prob my favorite producer of all time. Their ... read more
At least this was a palette cleanser.
In my review for Fennesz's "Venice" for the Cat & Raccoon series I do with my boyfriend, I have an affinity for ambient music. A significance in my adolescence, and some artists are still with me today.
I was not expecting an ambient record. Although it was in cloudy sight. This isn't a complete left turn, Loathe have always done ambient moments since their first album. They've always been curious. ILIIAITE showcased more ambience, and some ... read more
I like this song more than most people find it.
One thing I'm absolutely certain of is that this isn't really bland. I did say it was uninspired, but that was based off negative feelings I had and I guess to fit in. More so typical than it is uninspired, but it's still not that great.
The production is better than most shitcore. I wouldn't lie when I said that the lyrics were alright and I did feel sad, but some choices were p awful. The ending lyric of "driving alone past your ... read more
I've been wanting to check out Parks for a bit, ever since I saw her as AOTY's AOTY, only to be dethroned to runner up by BC,NR; compared to its current #19 on RYM.
I like pop music, some of my favorite things to listen to are pop. Melody is something that can be achieved beautifully in a tried-and-true fashion. This project is no exception. The neo-soul sampledelica atmosphere CIS has is dazzling, beautiful. Her co-producer Gianluca Buccellati is amazing, she should keep him in her bag. This ... read more

8 MAY 2021: I don't know why I never clarified this, but just in case... I don't hate Toasterqueen regardless of what she feels towards me. At the time, I liked her longer reviews shitting on things. I disagreed with some of them, and even laughed, so I decided to poke fun at it. If it hurt anyone... I'm sorry? That wasn't the intention, but I think I can see that.
You should honestly check out @Toasterqueen12, her reviews are def some of the most well thought-out things ever. Even today, I do ... read more
Not a lot of people know about this record, and this actually came to me as a Spotify recommendation. I love the fuck out of comfort, they're one of my "hidden influences". It's a shame their first record ("Built to Waste") isn't out on streaming, only on Bandcamp. I loved that one and even LESS people know about it. Matter of fact, I am the only one who actually rated it on RYM.
comfort comprises of sibling duo Natalie McGee on vocal and electronics, and Sean McGee on ... read more
I don't think it's any secret I stan Panda Rosa. They're a one man Australian band, a huge influence in my life and music. I found out about them searching through Spotify, picking which song to start with... and the album that I ended up listening to was none other than "Neochina". A more accessible project than this, it featured electronica production with rhythmic beats and ambient passages. It's genuinely an amazing, overlooked, progressive release.
So three albums later in his ... read more
There's nothing atrocious about this record. It's a middle-of-the-road, safe, generic album and you know what? I wanted to hate this. I enjoyed it a fair bit, more than what I would give credit to.
I think the title does OK Computer a disservice. Matter of fact, if you're betting this as a complement to OK Computer, it really isn't. It's more so about the current anxiety and view of humanity through Rivers than an album uncannily predicting the 21st century. The technological themes you're ... read more
I'm not a drone metal sort of guy. I tried Sunn O))) and they fuckin boooooored me. Turned it off, tried to get into their albums. So when I saw this on the RYM chart, and saw it was a mix of power electronics and drone metal... I decided to give it a shot.
Holy fuck I needed this. So far January 2021 releases have been boring and there are quite a few I wanna check out. I'll likely review Weezer after this bc OK Human is out and yea. I am at a loss for words. This crushes and it smothers and ... read more

The RYM user formerly known as SomeGuySomeOne (vvvvvVomen) said on their abrupt review on... well, RYM — this was recommended as "what CSH would sound like if they were still good." I would theoretically disagree because afaik, there are other albums besides Twin Fantasy that are good (MADLO unfortunately wasn't it). ... read more
With respect to this project by Mr. PRN, this is a p solid debut full of phc and noise rock. While p flat and neutral, it doesn't need to be in order for it to be good. So is it good?
I don't know whether to take the EP's concept THAT seriously, but it was a fun project to put in the background. Someone said that the vocalist takes inspiration from Dara Kiely and Alexis Marshall, and I agree more with the likes of Alexis Marshall than Kiely.
The riffs were fun, the drums were p impressive. ... read more

When I was 14, I wasn't close to being a model teenager nor was I any close to being a rather normal kid. Being normal is yet another way to say neurotypical, since throughout my school career I have always been special needs. For the most part, I was lonely. I had an online community I was part of, but lost due to engaging in harassment I wish I ... read more
All I really have to say about this album is that this is so bloated and the amount of songs does not justify the 1 hour runtime. There are actually good songs I'd bump the shit out of, like
- "M3tamorphosis"
- "New N3on"
*checks spotify*
- "M3tamorphosis"

And it's not awful, but hell. It's annoying. I'd rather listen to Implicit Doom than this.

5 FEB 2021: I'm aware of the controversy surrounding Implicit Doom but I'm not changing my fuckin review or my rating. I also hate public statements bc they're quite shit, but here we go.
If you think I'm defending him... I really don't. I found out about this when "implicitcatto" became a mini-meme and Toaster's review on this album became popular. I also happened to be one of the lucky ones to only see his massive self-promoing campaigns (and I know firsthand how annoying they ... read more
