What’s that? MORE reverb? M’kay! *breaks reverb pedal*
“Tomboy” didn’t leave nearly as much of an impression on me as “Person Pitch” did. It’s production is nice but there’s just an overuse of reverb that the songs almost sound samey and the repetition of a lot of these songs makes the album experience even more boring for me.
Edit (OS: 6.6): Nope this grew on me.

“Down There” has plenty of pretty, psychedelic sounds and Avey Tare’s personal lyrics to boot. He tackles subjects such as divorce and loss in such a heartbreaking and well-written way that it makes up for the fact that this doesn't have much in the way of difference to make it standout from Animal Collective's discography.

It’s inferior album compared to “Blue Lines” and the last two tracks are rather unnecessary in context to the rest of the album (especially that awful Doors cover). But “Protection” is still a well-textured and terrifically-produced trip-hop record that features a solid cast of performers and a move away from the commercial sound of its predecessor.

I think my ears just jizzed. Like, my earpenises were just pleasured to the max from this album.
What the fuck?
Overall, this was a warm and groovy album with outstanding production, great genre-mixing, awesome sampling and a consistent atmosphere. As one of the albums that kickstarted trip-hop, listening to this album could at least give you a hint as to why.

Despite being a little over 2 hours long, "Nervous Young Man" never truly bored me. These songs still contain some of the most emotionally raw, brilliant and personal songwriting that Will has ever put out!

James Blake focuses more on piano and voice on “Enough Thunder”. But despite a few interesting ideas, this EP isn’t executed all that well.

Decent
The 8-bit aesthetics are interesting, the transitions are very well done and I bet there’s a cute little concept behind it. But the sloppy mixing and repetition are pretty glaring flaws and some tracks can bore despite their modest lengths.

Loved it when I was that weird kid in middle school who’d always listen to 70’s and 80’s music and I love it even more now! "Hunky Dory” is where Bowie was at peak form in his songwriting genius and laid a benchmark for future pop/rock projects! Plenty of unforgettable hooks, introspective lyrics, charm and massive portions of idle worship!

Not only does it go from a folk sound to a much darker, rock sound, “The Man Who Sold The World” also starts to show off how much of a genius Bowie was with sharper writing, headier themes and superb production.

My heart hurts.
There’s not a single song on “Wildlife” that isn’t the least bit heart-wrenching, both in the outstanding lyrics, anxiety-fueling instrumentation and Jordan’s raw vocal performances (it sounds like the poor bastard’s verging into tears)! I felt chills down my spine throughout! Overall, I definitely recommend this! Even if you’re not that into the post-hardcore genre, you should definitely check this out as, even though this is a pretty ... read more

“Merriweather Post Pavilion” is Animal Collective’s most accessible and beautiful yet surreal and still hard-to-grasp album to date! This album took me to magical, ethereal places full of gorgeous melodies and psychedelic ambience! Overall, it’s a unique experience even by AnCo standards and easily one of the best albums of the 2000s!

Awful
“Overexposed” finds Maroon 5 in a now commercialized state. It resorts to overused modern pop trends (autotune, glittery hooks and millenial whoops) while also being very overproduced and horribly-written. Adam Levine is also starting to become unbearable here.
