Sade's most underrated, for sure. So, so warm and inviting, and, compared to her usual work, she never dwells on a single topic or sound for longer than is necessary, allowing for an easier and less demanding listen as this album simply flies by. Wonderful record, highly recommend giving this one a shot if you're a fan of Sade.
"Dorkcore 101" is perhaps one of the most fascinating records I've ever heard. Across over a hundred tracks, and over 4 hours of music, Dorkcore is one of the most ambitious, creative, off the wall, and insane concept albums ever created. What starts out as just a group of guys fucking around and making shitty music for their own entertainment slowly turns into being one of the most unique, odd, and at times profoundly unsettling albums that I've heard in quite some time. It really ... read more
An interesting mix of J-Rock, emo, vocaloid, and metal. Can't say I've heard much else like it, although it's also not the most captivating record in the world and its novelty did kinda wear off for me slowly over the course of its runtime.
Really ahead of its time in a lot of ways. Love the sound of this record and the strange, surreal atmosphere of it all is pretty captivating for the most part, even during some of the lengthier cuts here. Still think Can is a boring ass band but this is a really good record, even I can't deny that.
Also he really said ashfjuaharfjasfrajfnasgbabvasghasgbvalbahvhabalbvahgfaaa huh
"Sing a song about life"
I've really, really struggled to write reviews these past few months. I'm sure many of you have probably noticed, with shitpost reviews becoming more common than my actual reviews that I put effort into. The reason as to why that is is a more complex one than you'd expect, mostly due to the fact that it comes down to many personal factors, most of which I don't particularly feel like getting into, for the sake of not wasting space or boring you with the ... read more
I generally like the darker atmosphere that this album carries, and I found it really interesting when I first started the record, but the novelty wears thin for me quickly. It has its moments where it's really engaging, but this mix of post-rock and emo didn't strike the balance with me that I hoped it would, and a lot of the time one of these two sounds would detract from the other, meaning that this is an album filled with songs that I think are very good, but almost none that I think are ... read more
"MAN PLAYS THE HORN" is a messy, sprawling, mesmerizing feat from one of the most unique artists working right now. Nothing about Cities Aviv's music makes sense to me, but all of it clicks with me. Whether it be his abstract style of production, his odd ear for samples, or his eclectic lyricism, everything about this guy's work is endlessly fascinating to me, and "MAN PLAYS THE HORN" is no exception. As a matter of fact, it might be the quintessential example of everything ... read more
can’t wait to watch the user score plummet thanks to brad’s rating
Finally decided to revisit this after a long time away from it, and am happy to say it's still just as amazing as I remember. I don't have much new to say about this already established masterpiece, but I'll mention what stuck out to me on this particular listen: the instrumentation here is so much more detailed than I ever remembered it being. Every instrument is doing its own thing, each piece holding an essential place in the mix that, if removed, could risk ruining the entire piece. It's a ... read more
Ehh. This just sounds very awkward and unorganized, none of these tracks really sound particularly good except for "America's Most Noided", which actually has a pretty good mashup in my opinion. The rest of this, though, just makes me wish I was listening to Madvillainy! It does prove one important thing, though, which is that no matter what you do, and no matter how hard you try, you cannot make Madlib beats sound bad. Just skip it.
A solid release from foxtails, but much like "fawn", this just isn't my type of emo, really. While I really enjoyed the androgynous vocal performances and a lot of what was happening instrumentally and lyrically, it's in the production and in the runtime that this thing really starts to lose me. For one thing, in my opinion, this should've been a short EP. The material here isn't strong enough or consistently engaging enough for half of these songs running over 5 minutes to feel ... read more
Cities Aviv's "GUM" is perhaps one of the most fascinating recordings to come out of this recent wave of experimental hip hop that has permeated both the underground and mainstream rap scenes. Instead of going down the more conventional route of attempting to maintain some level of replay value or catchiness in his more experimental stylings, like a JPEGMAFIA or an Injury Reserve might, Cities Aviv instead takes the much bolder route of creating these extended musical motifs that ... read more

oh my fucking god. it clicked. this is so painful oh my god
"Was It Weird..." is one of the best tracks of this early part of their career in my opinion, and the rest is pretty consistently engaging and atmospheric. "Personal Purgatory" doesn't really feel like it belongs here, and it unfortunately kind of sticks out in the track list in a particularly awkward way, but the rest of this is honestly really solid, worth checking out for sure. The production isn't very polished but the energy is there.
Haven’t beaten the game yet, just wanted to say that this soundtrack is incredible and it means a lot to me. I’m aware that this is the coldest take of all time but still
