Arguably songs like Dizzy miss lizzy and you like me too much are rare instances of Beatles filler material. But you cannot argue with an overall effort like this, it’s packed. PACKED.
There’s something bleak and uninspiring about Radiohead’s sound at times and this album is a very mixed bag.
This one didn’t quite get me but I’m really interested to see what else they release
Genuinely great stuff, the guy’s 80 odd, hugely prolific career and he’s still got more to give. Was very excited when it turned out not to be bad at all.
This is perfect in so many ways, I think it’s mainly limited by a lack of versatility but it just hits some kind of nail on its god damn head.
If Brian Wilson’s genius was a tube of toothpaste, most of it was squirted out into this album in a really unexplainably extravagant way. Subsequent albums like Smiley Smile and Surf’s up must have been a proper case of rolling it up really tight and pushing your thumb really hard to get the last bits out.
He squawks and howls in a very God-like way. The whole thing is sopping wet with strange beautiful songs, all of which I would sleep with if they had a human form.
His quiet windy voice makes me want to blow away like a leaf and lie sad in a puddle until I disintegrate.
Nothing short of miraculous. A perfect album in every sense of the word.
This was actually the first Bob Dylan album I fell in love with. The man sings a note for like 5 minutes straight on freight train blues before going at it on the harmonica, I don’t know where he gets the oxygen. Just full of some really brilliant covers and his voice is immense.
She’s a witch of trouble in electric blue, in her own mad mind she’s in love with you.
I have my reservations about prog, but this really cuts the mustard.
