The WAEVE - The WAEVE
69

pretty uninspiring from a few artists who have been behind some good music over the years

Young Fathers - Heavy Heavy
80

I think a few songs in the middle are meh but the beginning and end are amazing

Núria Graham - Cyclamen
77

Don’t sleep on this one!

파란노을 [Parannoul] - After the Magic
87

There’s something magical about parannoul

Kimbra - A Reckoning
68

As a whole, with the exception of la type, it’s pretty disappointing. I want that classic Kimbra boogie sound

Meg Baird - Furling
77

Kinda ends with a whimper but the first half is miraculous

H.C. McEntire - Every Acre
80

What I hoped Margo Price would do

SG Lewis - AudioLust & HigherLove
72

Some fun moments but too long

Complete Mountain Almanac - Complete Mountain Almanac
72

Pretty inconsistent. Some really good ones, and at its best reminds me of Linda Perhacs. But pretty bland elsewhere

Sam Smith - Gloria
68

It's not nearly the atrocity y'all claim it to be

Ava Max - Diamonds & Dancefloors
81

I have no clue who Ava Max is, so maybe this is unfair to say when considering her past work, but this is the first album that really sounds like it's been influenced by Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia. Really captures that aerobics, pump up dance pop sound so well. Trails a little in the back, but the first half is BANGER AFTER BANGER

Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.
85

The first great album of the year

Samia - Honey
74

Not sure how to rate this one. On the one hand the production/instrumentation is top notch. There are some really fun catchy songs. On the other hand, the ballads are mostly uninteresting at best and bad at worst. I don't know why she's randomly autotuned. Nowhere near as consistent her debut, which I loved. But it has its moments.

Biig Piig - Bubblegum
79

I’d happily listen to more of this. Some major bops here

Ladytron - Time's Arrow
54

Wow I really fucking hated that

John Cale - Mercy
68

Ugh I wish I liked it more, but I hate to say I find it quite boring

Låpsley - Cautionary Tales of Youth
79

A little inconsistent but some real catchy tunes here

67

I don't particularly love it but it's not the affront to music some on here claim it to be

Mac DeMarco - Five Easy Hot Dogs
72

I didn't hate it. Mellow, chill vibes. Not award winning, and not Salad Days or 2, but certainly not bad

The Murder Capital - Gigi's Recovery
77

Mixed feelings about this one. There are some really good moments but also more than a few duds to me. To be honest, I don't love the vocal performance. But the music around it is so good, I'm not fully sure how to rate it. It could be a grower
