This is the worst Massive Attack. I can say about this that it gets boring and stale on some tracks, and some highs don't make enough to let it shine properly. It's sad, but to be honest, this is still one of my favorite bands. Incredible stuff, but this is not it, for me.
Highlights: Butterfly Caught, Antistar, What Your Soul Sings
This is not a mediocre album by any means, is overshadowed by their first 3 albums, but this album is amazing.
It got a different production quality compared to something like Mezzanine or 100th Window; it feels haunting, but bigger and brighter, reminding me of something like Blue Lines. The melodies aren't as impacting and original as their earlier stuff, but it feels really well put together in every song (or almost all of them). The whole thing is really good, and it should not be looked ... read more
Talk to my hand if you think this is not their best album. Because it's. Their. Best.
This album brings another feel from ITCOTKC (what an acronym), another approach, as this was their intended final album. It feels like a huge farewell to their adventure, and it brings their best in here. Is even more intricate than ever, it's creative and heartfelt. It brings stuff to the table that were out of every sake of understanding on that time and... Starless. This song is a friend's favorite. And no ... read more
There it is. The origin of progressive music, and it is amazing as fuck.
Is incredibly well done, an amazing concept is included in it, the whole movement is created has made some of the best modern albums to date, 21st Century Schizoid Man is in here, what else do you need as an explanation. This is graceful and sophisticated.
I just got one thing to whine about, the second half of Moonchild feels off, sadly.
Highlights: all of them
This is their only decent album, I swear. There is, at least, a sense of personality and enjoyability on this thing.
Highlights: Gold, Friction, Trouble
I don't even want to write this review. This album was a total cash grab for stadium music and Dude Perfect videos.
Like, overcondensed production in such a small soundstage, stupidly bland songwriting (thunder feel the thunder), lacking any sense of humanity and personality, and the worst sin on all of this mess is how they sound so generic and stupidly bland in general. Do you think that premise sound promising? The worst thing is, yes. It made them blow up. And that gets me sad.

This is the perfect electronic music album as a whole, and not just as a "trip hop" album.
This is just amazing. It sounds so refreshing, and even unreal for being from 1998, the haunting production that drives it into immersion and an upscaled sound, the great massive production from Massive, the amazing songwriting from them, the features, the melodies, EVERYTHING is do optimal, perfect, meticulously made and it's noticed. Is the best, and I'm really sure this will be unbeaten for ... read more
Maybe, this album is not the best electronic album by any means, but this holds a special place in my heart for, what I consider, being my go-to in the happiest days of my life, where I was loved, I was accomplishing everything I wanted and even more.
This albums feels like a throwback into those specific moments. It got a really nostalgic feel all the way into it, it catches you and brings you into one of the most peaceful states of mind I've experienced since those times. It can always ... read more
Yeah, I can say this is the one I enjoyed the least from his trifecta, but is like barely less that 6FBTM. Just barely. And that is still incredible, having one of the most consistent discographies to date.
This album feels more polished than his last two records, with more intricate arrangements, a mindful of ideas and a more driving voice. The consistency is amazing, the production feels dreamy yet full, and is really giving this album a different flavor that I distinguish between his other ... read more
...he was 19 when he released this?
He just made one of the best art rock debuts of the decade with 19?!?!????
This album is really something. It brings some fresh ideas to the table, a little raw and simpler than The OOZ. But to be honest, his songwriting and instrumental arrangement on this album is still really amazing.
What he transmits on his overly expressive voice and the contrast between a calmer and intimate, and a more intense with more arrangements type of sound, he brings ... read more
Fuck it perfect ambient album. My favorite ambient album tbh.
It haunts you into two and a half hours of full darkness, light, trances, melancholy, enchantment, and a lot of other things that you should experience. Go. Listen to it, now.
Highlights: 3, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, Stone In Focus.
I love Alberto Balsalm to death, such an amazingly arranged track and so subtle and charming, but the whole album feels so... Messed up?
Is not that it sounds uncohesive or bad, it feels creeped, it stops being something I can enjoy fully, it just doesn't work properly as I would want to... But is still decent overall.
Highlights: The Waxen Pith, Alberto Balsalm, Next Heap With.
This is one of those albums I would say, are in a very odd spot to be.
All of the tracks feel so... Organized (? Is more digestible than RDJ or ICBYD, and is not reminiscent of his ambient works, but it got a more affordable arrangement than all of those. Do I enjoy it as much as his other works? Well...
Highlights: fuck those names
This is his best, what the fuck are y'all critics on?
Is diverse. Is huge. Is interesting. It got e v e r i t h i n g you would think of from IDM music. From the hard-hitting drums on Omgyomya Switch-7 (did i write it right?) or Vordhosbn, or Methapace 6... Or... Fuck the names, fuck the review, this is incredible shit.
Highlights: fuck those names, all of them are great
Well... I'm not the biggest AF fan, but um... I don't really get where is this album going. I just think I'm not feeling it, but is kind of boring for now. It can change, but not really a standout right now.
Well... I think The Suburbs and Rococo are really good, but I really don't get the whole mind-blowing experience other people would get from this one. Is good, I can listen to it, but nothing besides those two songs would stand out for me like enough to give it a 9 or so. Is good still, so yeah.
