Kanye West Discography Reviews (5/14)
Going into My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, an album built on high praise and love, I am very satisfied with this project. This album lived up to everything that I really wanted it to be. Production is unreal, lyricism from ye is really never something that I find that amazing or anything, but it is not bad. Great features from Rick Ross on Devil in a New Dress, Nicki Minaj on Monster, as well as Raekwon, JAY-Z, and Bon Iver. The only track I did not ... read more
Finally, after three attempts from Boldy in 2025, he delivers a really solid, quite enjoyable project. I am a big fan of Chuck Strangers production here, I have never heard of him, but I do really appreciate this. Boldy sounds fantastic, much better than Murder during Drug Traffic. Really solid project, definitely the best from him this year so far, though I think he already announced another project!
Kanye West Discography Reviews (4/14)
Going into 808's, an album I have heard much about yet never actually heard, expecting a lot. I can absolutely see where the influence expands off from this album, Kanye's use of autotune singing, now popularized as auto crooning, was revolutionary to the hip hop game.
Moving away from the influence however, this kind of feels like a Whole Lotta Red situation, where the influence of the album surpasses how good and concrete the album truly is. ... read more
Kanye West Discography Reviews (3/14)
This is one of the few albums that I have actually listened to from Kanye, before going into this series. I did have strong opinions about this album, some that I do still stand on but we can talk about those soon. To start, Kanye at this point has really mastered the craft at making hits clearly. His hit making ability is likely the best of any rapper ever, yes sure there is Drake but Kanye's hits are of higher quality imo. Now when it does come to ... read more
Kanye West Discography Reviews (2/14)
The second installment in the trilogy, Late Registration, delivers just as well as the previous installment, but the highs feel just a touch bit higher. There are so many hip hop gems on this tracklist with tracks like Diamonds in Sierra Leone, Touch the Sky, We Major, Heard Em Say and some less talked about ones like Roses, Mama, and Addiction. This album is curated with many features and honestly all but one do absolutely fabulously. (I'm not the ... read more
Day 28 / February Underground Discovery
The last day of the series! What a fun ride we have been on with this one, we have discovered so many fantastic artists that I do plan on visiting more. If you want to see everything I listened to, check out my list!
But to get to History will Absolve Me! Definitely really messed with this one, even more than my previous installment in We Buy Diabetic Test Strips with his partner ELUCID. Very interesting rapper to say the least, definetly need to get ... read more
Day 27 / February Underground Discovery
This was my first introduction to both E L U C I D and billy woods. This seems to be one of those albums that I need to sit with longer, as some songs feel shakier than others, yet some amazing tracks are easy to find on the tracklist. I did not have any issues really with artist performances, and production was really good. Would recommend.
WOW WOW WOW
Thank god I was bored in math class, this album is actually one of the most beautiful and triumphant, yet cold and jarring, heavenly and light, most amazing trip through perfect instrumentation.
Day 26 / February Underground Discovery
This was a great listen, really gave vibes of the early Roots catalogue which would make sense as this came out right after their fourth studio album Phrenology, and Phonte would go to have features on their later albums and some of their previous works. Overall this has great style, great bars, great productions and is a very entertaining listen.
Day 25 / February Underground Discovery
Unfortunately, I fell under the weather causing me to be barely motivated to move yesterday let alone listen to another El-P project as I has just done Fantastic Damage a few days ago, so I am a day behind.
While I did like Fantastic Damage, I like this much more. Company Flow brings great beats and fantastic bars, "mute like Maggie Simpson" is so damn funny, and also just such a cool album cover that I feel would be a disservice to not ... read more

100th Review!
Yes after nearly a year of going around the deep corners of hip hop, I have yet to fully listen to Kanye's discography. While he is extremely controversial and I really do not respect nor defend any of his actions in current day 2025, it is rough to call myself a hip hop head without truly listening to his stuff. So here we go.
The College Dropout, his debut, is an extremely good debut album, with him revolutionizing the Chipmunk Soul sound. ... read more
An absolutely amazing R&B / Hip hop album from Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge. Knxwledge brings these amazingly smooth and intimate beats, while Paak just slides over them with ease. Fantastic features from Earl Sweatshirt and others. Just a really great tracklist and listen overall.
My first ever introduction to Zelooperz besides his fantastic feature on 'SS San Francisco' on Injury Reserve's last album 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix'. On Dear Psilocybin, Zelooperz teams up with producer Real Bad Man, and I do feel that he brought some really solid beats, that did stray over many genres. This can be seen as either a good or bad thing, as it makes the album feel not as concise, but also cool to see Z go over many different areas.
When it comes to ... read more
Eem Triplins debut album, as well as an early start to the 2025 hip hop scene, Melody of a Memory goes over Eem's personal life and great production. That is probably the highest praise I would give this work, the production is very good and sometimes a strong Tyler, The Creator influence can definetly be heard, but it is definetly welcome. Eem's rapping performances are solid on most tracks, only really complaint in his constant motif of women in his songs. I understand that that is ... read more

Another Boldy James project, this one also with the Alchemist. While I could have easily loved another tracklist with the eerie beats and cold lyrics like from their previous work, The Price of Tea in China. We do not really get that, more wide arrays of beats from Alc, most I liked a lot, and Boldy on the project is really just being Boldy. After listening to so much of the guy, you kinda know where he is gonna go with his projects and fair enough it ... read more
Redveils debut album, and now after going through all of his catalogue, its clear this is where his style really arose from. Bittersweet Cry does boast some gems in veils discog but it just doesn't have the same charm and finesse as his later works, not like I was expecting it or anything. It is a solid debut.
A$AP Rocky Discography Reviews (4/4)
Until Don't Be Dumb comes out, the last album in his current discography is this LP Testing. This album has a lot going on, some good some not. I would like to give my flowers to Rocky for this, as while I think it is by far his weakest project up to date, I think he experimented a lot more than usual and I do appreciate that. Something like a vulnerable Purity with Frank Ocean, or a Changes really feel very new and welcome to me.
I think the biggest ... read more
A$AP Rocky Discography Reviews (3/4)
His second album, coming off of his very strong LONG LIVE A$AP, and of course his iconic mixtape, LIVE LOVE A$AP, AT LONG LAST A$AP sounds great but just not as high as his beginning two works for me. When it comes to production, the album feels great, just like all of his former works and lyrically on most tracks, it feels dense with some solid cuts. My only gripe really is the inconsistency of the tracklist.

This was a really solid and good listen. The second album from Washington D.C. native rapper redveil, shows great potential and hunger on the mic. While being familiar with redveil from his 2022 drop "Learn 2 swim", it was great to see his former works. Production on this product is a huge plus, redveil did a great job crafting these beats for him to flow on. Features also did great. Overall, its a really good and smooth listen, lacking any if ... read more
This is my first ever review of any content put out by Ghais Guevara, but what a great listen this was. First to get the bad off, there were not necessarily songs that I thought were bad, yet the second half of this tracklist are absolutely stronger than the first. So a little inconsistent when it comes to that. The second half tracks lyrical content are really strong and great from Ghais. His sound is very intriguing, especially production wise. His delivery is also very strong on the ... read more
