Rav's new solo album is yet another example of his hip hop collective Exo being one of the best things in the underground. As well as showcasing what makes him a great artist in general. I'm On To Me isn't as good as Skin or New Moon but it's still pretty damn entertaining. Production takes some of the ideas laid forth on Skin and refines them to even greater effect. The dazzling saxophone on Dead End, the pleasant strings on Dandelions, the psychedelic synth melody on Channel F. This album is ... read more
I hate that I kinda like this, like this would have been middle school me’s theme song.
This is kinda pointless to me. Punisher spent most of its runtime with very catchy but minimal production. Some guitars and some drums and Phoebe, that’s the perfect formula. And it’s quiet moments just let it’s climactic moments truly shine( I.e Chinese Satellite and I Know The End.) Copycat Killer is not bad but these songs were essentially perfect before, so having nothing but strings does nothing for me. I don’t know, Chinese Satellite still works on here( to a ... read more
I like this, I’m really hoping his debut doesn’t play like that ep did. No more trap just country bangers please.
I know this single’s reputation is just bots, but this is actually a banger and a quarter.
Every leak that has dropped has been one of their best songs ever, fuck you Ameer.
I think after JIK it’s safe to say there exists three Kanye’s. The old Kanye, The new Kanye, and the oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no Kanye.
I think Ameer’s solo stuff just proves how much Brockhampton is carried by its production. I’m ready for new Ameer and he’s rapping pretty decently but I just can’t ever fuck with the beats he’s choosing. Maybe a project could prove me wrong but I don’t see myself ever returning to this.
Ever listen to a song around forty times as a joke, and soon you know all the words, and it’s entered your normal playlist, and then you find yourself humming it in the shower, and then you realize you like it and you don’t know what to do with yourself?
It’s like if Gerard Way and Bo Burnham had a REALLY gay baby. In other words, I thoroughly enjoyed this even if the mix is kinda wack.
Taste Test: The Prophet
Tattletales finally cements 6ix9ine’s legacy as that guy who looks like a clown and snitched on all his friends. A relic of the 2010’s and now we can move on, and listen to literally anything else because this album is a big stinky pile of shit.
Taste Test: Go get laid
It’s a little early in the game but this will probably be my favorite ep this year. Running as one continuous song, this ep bounces through so many different flows and instrumentals it’s hard not to be entertained. I don’t really know who this guy is but this ep had made me a fan. Check this out, it’s only six minutes.
I’ve never listened to a single FrankJavCee song but this is fucking sexy.
2020 has been a year that I will never forget. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that no one has expected the rolling snowball of shit that has become the first year of the decade. And with all the chaos and turmoil. The Strokes are back with a new set of songs that we can listen to while we aren’t doing anything.
I’ve been anticipating this one quite a bit. The singles sounded like The Strokes wanted to make music again, not that they had to. At The Door has this epic ... read more
Kill Bill and Rav have become some of my favorite artists of the last decade. Their style of rapping isn’t anything especially innovative, but it’s endlessly replayable. Their talents were highlighted especially with their near perfect 2019 output New Moon, which ruled my music listening last year. And although they had a small misstep with Solar Flare, a summerfried collection of bedroom rap bangers, I was still very excited when this was announced
And now they are back with a ... read more
I’m not saying this album gave me AIDS, but if ever wake up with it, I know what to blame.
