An old man trying to establish some sort of connection with the younger audience he never really reached. What did you expect.
Honestly I have no fucking words, between the video, song, and the fact that KANYE collaborated with Lil Pump. Its good to see that Kanye is letting himself have fun in the later portion of his career, even if that means a drop in focus and quality.
They've always been edgy tryhards, and this album shows how boring edgy tryhards can be.
A set of overall pretty fire singles! If this is a preview of an upcoming project, Disclosure is definitely going in a promising direction.
Nothing new but I still like it, Young Thug manages to change things up just enough for me to keep listening. Oh Yeah and Audemar are the standout tracks for me. The former has a minimal synth and pretty low-key guitar sample as practically the only parts of the beat, creating a great progression to the track. Audemar, It's A Slime, and Goin Up are more examples of Thug's ability to make melodic, off-kilter trap songs, something he nearly perfected on Jeffrey in 2016. Gunna shows his talent ... read more
My favorite part of Rihanna's career: when she made full-blown pop. Shit went hard back in 2008 and it goes hard a decade later.
fav tracks: Disturbia (standout), Umbrella, Shut Up and Drive
This is the first Ariana Grande album I've listened to all the way through, and I'm taken aback. Of course it's not a revolutionary piece of pop, but I underestimated Ariana's talent. Her singing is full of life and is enough to carry most of these songs without needing any huge features to back her up, as Ariana has done previously on big singles and other album cuts. The production is a place where there are some inconsistencies; Pharrell Williams' contributions stick out like a sore ... read more
Nicki's rapping ability shows improvement, but her lack of the ability to put together a good album shows very clearly (again). Queen is pretty entertaining at first, but by the time you get to the second half it is glaringly obvious that songs like Miami, Come See About Me, and LLC are shameless filler, which has been present on every Nicki Minaj album to date. Ganja Burns, Majesty, and Bed are great pop rap tracks that show Nicki in her most comfortable environment, while Good Form and Coco ... read more
Really wanted to like this, and liked most of the singles. But Trippie put out 14 songs that sound the same (not all, there are obvious outliers). The slower songs that utilize Trippie's singing, like How You Feel, aren't bad, but after two of them, the rest become cheesy and boring. The beats on the rap songs are the most boring, standard beats I have ever heard, and Trippie is a weak enough lyricist as it is, so he gets no help from these choices in production.

There's definitely some heat, but as an album this doesn't work that well.
fav tracks: La Cienega, Red Rubies
Hold up, let me get it started
B.B. with the Robin's, lookin' all retarded
B.B. saggin', fly like a dragon
Bitches suck my dick 'cause I'm fly like Aladdin
Pour a semi, pull up to the cribby, uh
Licky-licky, licky on my blicky, uh
Take a flicky, make a movie with me, uh
Take a flicky, make 'em real drippy, uh
Attempting to have Joba rap in place of Ameer is really just sad. The only grit this band had left is gone. And trying to turn this into and indie pop song in the last minute or so was the most awkward and out of place thing ever, really destroys the vibe of this song.
