A more fully-fleshed out take on the current emo rap trend. More in the direction of emo influenced by rap rather than vice versa. Highly recommended.
cucakke is unironically a good rapper, somehow she turns dick jokes and innuendo into really enjoyable music.
The Songs with Pharrell and HAIM are obvious standouts to me despite them taking me back to the summer of 2013. the rest of the album is futuristic techno gibberish. The 10 minute closer Humanity Gone brings nothing new apart from its length. Gesaffelstein had everything to prove with this album but unfortunately it seems their biggest work will remain their Abel Tesfaye collabs, which are pretty good.
No self-made rapper with an actual come up releases three major label albums less than a year after they get one big soundcloud hit. Adam22 and other culture propagandists hyped this guy up and now he's on the charts. The labels saw Lil Peep's death as a sign that there was money to be made in emo rap and it was pushed to the mainstream in the months following his death. Interscope is getting away with shit like this now and the market is totally cool with it.
Pretty good, but the whole album has a very constructed feel to me. As if the band wrote a set of steps for the album creation process and kept themselves constricted within those steps.
Great little indie record, but the band's sound does get a bit tired after the bulk of the album.
They finally did it. They topped Pinkerton.
edit: all 4 of these guys could be my dad, and I feel too old for this shit
Imma sick fuck i like a man with a PHD in economics focusing on quantitative methods
trying to give EDM a genuine shot, this is the first track that has really stuck with me. anyone have good recommendations? I've definitely put out my fair share of hate towards the genre, but I think its changing for the better as the audience gets bigger and bigger.
Also, I kinda forgot about this for some reason, but I actually went to a Marshmello show two years ago. It was pretty fun, and yes I was sober so that REALLY means something.
This album was very disappointing and I was very hyped for it, oh well.

K-Pop: not only is it shitty, uninspired pop music that is crafted for the masses, its fucking the music industry too.
This is not genuine music that an artist takes time to perfect and care about. This is music made in a studio by corporate producers whose sole intention is to make fuckloads of money. Auditions and "intense musical training" are not a natural artistic process that anyone goes through to make it. Contracts where artists are not given their respective earnings are ... read more
