As a fan of Taylor Swift since that Romeo and Juliet song from 2008, I've really loved her music since she went pop. The biggest few pop singles from Red (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, 22) were so infectious that I still have them memorized to this day. 1989 was great, everything I expected and wanted from a 100% Pop Taylor Swift. That album I regularly go back to, and I will probably still listen to it for years. Her songwriting is so catchy and fun, ... read more
Really fucked up song, in an angelic way. The instrumental arrangement and vocals are incredible, as The Crystals usually are. But the lyrics make this song powerful, in a much different way from all other pop songs of the 60's. Only Phil Spector would put out something like this.
Adamn deserves more hype than he has. Great tape that I would compare to Carti or Lucki in terms of its simplicity and lyricism. Prob my favorite album cover of the year too.
i always think its lame when rappers use their xxl freestyle/cypher in a song, whether it was planned before or after. i love Rico but this is such a weak move.
I was completely wrong and am blown away by the quality of this album. The singles are by far the worst songs on the project. Stellar production throughout, great lyricism, and Ginger does an even better job at conveying that "indie rap" sound than iridescence had done awkwardly. The band has matured and progressed.
fav tracks: St. Percy (standout), Sugar, No Halo
A$AP Mob will never be what they were between 2010-2013. Ferg hasn't made a listenable project since 2014, Rocky has an enormous ego and has put his fashion/modeling projects before music, and every other member of the Mob is completely irrelevant at this point. I have hope for Rocky because Testing did show he had some ideas left in him, but needs to focus himself on music. Maybe this is all karma for jacking Spaceghostpurrp's sound.
Slow in the beginning, but damn does the second half deliver. Why would I expect anything less than amazing from Thugger, he's not at his best but this is not even close to his worst. Thug's flow on Cartier Gucci Scarf is one of the best things he's ever done imo.
fav tracks: What's The Move, I'm Scared, Cartier Gucci Scarf, Pussy, Mannequin Challenge
The Carti song really wasn't anything special. Trippie Redd removing that song from the album is him accepting failure as an artist. At this point, he doesn't control his own albums, the fans do. I was never the biggest fan of Trippie, but with songs like Topanga I thought he showed real promise and could've brought some fresh new ideas to hip hop music.
Nope, wrong. He has a distinct sound that blurs the line between emo rap and trap, but what else? Well-written and thought provoking ... read more
Will Matt Champion ever use a 2nd flow? Will Bearface stop shitting on every track he appears on? Tune in next week on Unpredictable Brockhampton Singles
Nicki Minaj is doing a lot to remain in the spotlight. Queen was not that great, Megatron was bad, and other women are making significantly more noise than her, something that didn't happen too often back when she blew up in 2011. I am not one to accuse of things but it seems like Nicki is scared of being "surpassed" but in terms of success, Cardi B did that. This song isn't bad but it isn't anything special.
While he's obviously past his prime, Rick Ross proves he's got some pears left on the tree and delivers a project worthy of the Port of Miami name. Big budget features, many of whom owe Ross and MMG for their stardom, dominate the entirety of the album yet Ross' booming voice remains at the forefront. Maximalist production, lyrics touting the life of luxury Rozay has accustomed himself to, and occasional cringe-inducing moments (the skit with Rick and his girl talking about how she ... read more
These new Brockhampton singles are not good. The production is sloppy, the raps are disjointed and awkward, and the end product is the opposite of satisfying.
Basically, these 2 songs are the equivalent of rolling a blunt with roaches and ash. Sure the end product will look the same and it'll smoke decent enough, but once it's finally done and all you've got is a shitty headrush and a bad taste in your mouth, you'll wish you had just waited for the weedman to reup in a couple days rather than ... read more

It's fun but this website has gone from a music reviewing platform to social media that talks about music.
All social media is bad for mental health, and this one in particular has significantly diminished my enjoyment of music. After that Bradtaste bullshit went down I've been ... read more
His music before this was bland and boring, but it was his own sound and that’s respectable. This LP is Ed just throwing his artistic credibility out the window and pandering to the commercial audience.
I may express my Doomer mentality a bit too much on this site, but (major label) music is only gonna get worse from here.
Tell me that the In the Air Tonight remix doesn’t go hard. Chris has fallen off a bit now, but man was he rapping in his prime.
