What a brilliant emo rock album. Every song on this is so sonically pleasing, I’m rocking out to them every time I listen to this and the great singing and lyrics from Andrew Fisher keep bringing me back to this brilliant album. Definitely my favourite of Basement’s album, although Beside Myself is a close second. The guitar riffs stand out on Whole more than any other tracks, and Spoiled has got to be one of my favourite songs of all time. Covet and Pine are great tracks, both ... read more
Pretty much a prelude to LP1, and an amazing one at that. Probably one of the best EPs I’ve heard, but it’s length might help with that, as with only 3 tracks, there’s less of a chance of there being bad songs. Definitely would recommend anyone who liked LP1 to listen to this. Great instrumentation and great lyrics as usual, just not on par with the stuff on the following album.
Favourite Track: The One With The Tambourine
What’s the worst that I can say? I genuinely don’t know. There’s not much bad about this album. Every song on this is amazing. The energy and emotion that all the band members bring across on this brilliant collection of songs, and the loose concept is carried out very well throughout. Even though The Black Parade is my favourite album of all time, I feel that Gerard’s vocals on this are better and more emotional than some points of the Black Parade. Overall The Black ... read more
What can I say? I’m a sucker for Paramore. A lot of people seem to be complaining about the screaming implemented into My Heart, and while I’m no fan of screamo, I actually thought this part was done quite well, because of the emotion it brings across. However, I’m really glad they decided to leave the screaming out of Emergency for the actual album release, because that song does so much better without it. The main problem I have with this album is Whoa. I just can’t ... read more

There’s some great tracks on this, but none of them are anywhere near as amazing as the best tracks from Radiohead’s other albums, maybe with the exception of Pyramid Song. The version of Morning Bell on this album is far inferior to the version on Kid A, And has absolutely no need of being here in my opinion. People need to stop shitting on Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors though. While the lyrics may be strange an unfulfilling, it sounds really good. Kinda wish they had’ve put it ... read more
This album just gives me everything I would want from Radiohead. There’s really not a boring moment in this album. At the start of the album Thom Yorke’s terrific singing grabs onto you and never lets go. It seems to have everything that Amnesiac failed to perfect, with jazz elements on We Suck Young Blood, and the brilliant electronics throughout. The political themes on the record only enhance the experience of this album as they help to highlight the passion that went into it. 2 ... read more
The two original tracks on this EP are intense and amazing, but I’m not entirely sure about the Animal Nitrate cover, it was okay, but I didn’t like it that much. Not sure if that’s because they did a bad job covering it, or I just wouldn’t like the original, as I haven’t listened to the original by Suede.
Favourite Track: Jet
I have 5 things to say about this album:
1. I’m pretty sure all the lyrics on Genius are wrong.
2. The vocals aren’t as laughable as I expected but they’re still pretty bad.
3. I’m so glad this was only 11 minutes long, because if it was any longer I probably would’ve just ended it.
4. These are the worst song names I have ever read.
5. All three times I listened to it, And Then The C.H.U.D.S. Came managed to convince me I lost hearing in my right ear.

The first time I listened to this, I was left feeling so much, but also nothing. I listened to this for the first time about a week after I first listened to OK Computer, my first Radiohead album. Of course I’d heard that this was experimental, emotional, and could affect people greatly, but I could not have expected this. This album felt like it sucked the life right out of me. After my first listen I felt angry at the album, I felt depressed, and somehow also felt empty. The record was ... read more
Pretty good EP, showed potential for Radiohead really early in their career. I can definitely see that some of the musical ideas in the songs in this EP were improved on in The Bends, and most of the tracks on this aren’t as good as the tracks on The Bends.
Favourite Track: The Trickster
This album was the album that taught me not to go into albums expecting to have the same opinion as Anthony Fantano, seeing as I had low hopes for this, and it turned out to be (in my opinion) far better than that. It’s definitely not the place to start off with Radiohead, but seeing as I’d heard most of Radiohead's albums beforehand, I really liked this at first, and originally would’ve put it on the same par as The Bends. It has shrunk on me a bit, as there’s much that ... read more
Honestly, with every listen to this it goes from a 75 to a 65 and then back again, so I’m just gonna score it in the middle. Even though this is clearly just some radio-friendly immature pop punk, there’s too many songs that just make me smile to say it’s remotely bad. This is nowhere near the lyrical complexity of even Brand New’s next album, but you can see some things from this were improved on, and matured in Deja Entendu, in tracks like Jude Law And A Semester ... read more
Well, this was certainly an interesting way to start off my dive into Swans discography. I really enjoyed this, with all of its weird and dark tones, and Michael Gira’s vocals that really shouldn’t work with this, but I also can’t imagine any voice that would work better with this. Most of the tracks on this are amazing, there are just a few songs that don’t really hit the mark for me, like Blood Promise. I Am The Sun is by far my favourite track, further proving my idea ... read more
So I finally decided this is better than Deja Entendu. This album had a very weird effect on me, because I thought it was absolutely amazing at first listen, the next few listens I thought it was just very good, and then when I came back a few weeks later it became absolutely amazing again, and still is. Pretty much, it doesn’t have replay value unless you replay it a lot. The lyrics are the main attraction here, as they tell great dark stories in every song. Brand New can pull off both ... read more
Actually pretty good as a comedy album, it made me laugh a lot, and that’s really the only reason it exists. Obviously not that cohesive as all these tracks were released over a 3 year period beforehand, but at least Apandah was thoughtful enough to include an intro and ending. Probably would’ve gave it a 75 (mostly for lyrical “content”, not musical quality of course), but there’s no way I want this showing up on my best albums of 2019 list.
I definitely didn’t like this as much as I was expecting from all of the amazing reviews, but I do think it’s just not my kinda thing. It has a nice atmosphere, but a few of the songs at the start just seem to be missing something that really hooks me. It seems to pick up from Something To Believe onwards. Movies is a pretty good song like most others are saying, but I just don’t think some of the lyrics fit with the overall sound of the song, which seems to happen a few times ... read more
