I had never heard Conan Gray before, but I expected this to be a generic pop album. And while it basically is, it’s pretty decent.
Kid Krow is an album you’ve likely heard before 200 times, as nothing on here is very special or unique. It’s your standard album in this lane, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There are a lot of catchy tracks on here, and while the songwriting isn’t great and can be very corny, it’s solid most of the time. There’s ... read more
This is a beautiful record that even though I don’t understand the lyrics, l can still connect with it. Her voice is really pretty and really allows for you to feel the song even if you don’t necessarily know what’s being said. But while I do like this album quite a bit, I do think some songs start to blend together, and not every song hits like some of the best ones. I definitely can see this growing on me as I listen more though, and I’m glad I checked this out.
I had never heard of Sevdaliza, so I had idea what to expect going into this. But this is actually really good.
The production is immersive, her vocals are hauntingly beautiful, and this combination often makes for fantastic music. Her fusion of genres and styles also helps make this an intriguing listen. The album is a little long, and some moments start to blend together, but it’s still a really enjoyable album with great production and vocal performances.

My 500th review!!
I wanted to have this 500th review be special, and well, here we are.
This sucks, and I forced myself to listen to it for the meme, but like there’s not much to say about it. It sucks and isn’t even that funny. The production isn’t bad but like...no.
Thoughts/moments I wrote down while listening:
Did he really just say the f-slur? Bro what?
“When I was young I was so dismissive of the baked potato”. Bars.
Oral herpes bars. Awesome. ... read more

If it wasn’t for the runtime, this would possibly be the best rap project of the year. But even as is, while too long, the fantastic jazz-rap production from Exile and great verses from Blu make Miles one of the best rap albums of the year.

While I appreciate and like this album quite a bit and really enjoy some of these songs, there are just too many inconsistent or undeveloped moments for Miss Colombia to reach its full potential.

So glad I gave this record a chance.
Lianne La Havas is a beautiful R&B record that features some great vocal performances, stellar songwriting, and solid production. The quality is very consistent throughout, and even the songs that aren’t my favorites are still really solid. The only thing that holds it back in my opinion is that there are some songs that are a little longer than they need to be, and there are a few that don’t really stand out, but these minor things ... read more
I hadn’t really heard much of HAIM’s music before going into this. I had this album on my list of albums to listen to though, but what ultimately got me to listen was the surprising AOTY nomination at the 2021 Grammys. And while I do like this album, I’m not entirely sure it belongs there, even though I’m not mad at the selection either.

I went into this album going "Who is Jacob Collier?"
I left this album going "Why is Jacob Collier nominated for a fucking AOTY Grammy?"
impressive? Sure. AOTY over Fiona Apple, The Weeknd, or Phoebe Bridgers?? No. Just no.
That's not to say this is a bad album though. I actually find it pretty decent and impressive, and clearly Jacob Collier is incredibly talented, but I personally don't get much from this and find it pretty forgettable.
Did we really need another record from Bad Bunny in 2020?
If he combined his three releases from this year into one album and trimmed all the fat, he could have had something really good. But instead, each album has highlights and nothing is all that terrible but is overall not that interesting and is too long.

So glad she ditched those EPs...
I have liked a single here and there from Miley, but her recent music has been incredibly disappointing (see Cattitude...). The lead up to this album had me excited though, as her covers were great and she released two of my favorite singles of the year. I was hoping the album would finally be a consistent project from Miley, and fortunately it is.
Plastic Hearts is an incredibly solid album which features Miley finally finding a sound and style that works ... read more
I typically find enjoyment in Sheck’s music but this just feels...empty? The rollout and promotion was interesting with the draft stunt but that’s probably the best part of the song outside of the beat.
Yeah Rina this is not as good as I had hoped. Chromatica leftover type beat. It’s not a bad track but definitely not up to the standard she has set for herself
It’s still not great but Russ fits this style a lot better.
I’ve never been a Russ fan or anything, but I thought he had glimpses of potential on some of his projects, even if those projects were mostly terrible. I saw decent things about this and thought maybe this would be a project where he capitalizes on his potential. And while it’s definitely an improvement, it’s still just held back by Russ.
The beats are very solid, and Russ’s performances aren’t ... read more
I had never heard any of SAINt JHN’s music, but I had seen his name and the list of collaborators on here had me intrigued. And while I definitely don’t hate it and think it’s pretty decent, it didn’t really impress me either.
While The World Was Burning is not a bad album, but it just feels identity-less. It’s your standard melodic trap/R&B project, and while there are some catchy hooks and decent beats, it still just feels generic. Nothing about Saint ... read more
It's generic K-pop. I mean there's nothing else for me to say. There are some highlights with solid instrumentals and catchy songwriting, but for the most part I feel like this has no identity. it's not bad, and I actually find a lot of it decent, but it's just so cookie-cutter pop that I just can't connect with it.
Fav Tracks: Life Goes On, Fly To My Room,
Least Fav Tracks: Blue & Grey
Production isn't bad, but it isn't anything special and unfortunately neither Meek or the features do much to change that. It's not bad, but I don't see myself coming back to it.
Fav Tracks: Middle of It, GTA

First off, RIP to his brother.
DaBaby tends to fall in the trap of making songs with the same beats and similar flows and release a lot of songs/projects to maximize streams and it has really watered down his sound. And even when he has changed it up, it usually doesn't work. So when I saw this was a sadder project, I was intrigued but cautiously optimistic. And while this isn't great, it's clearly a step up and it's clear he really did care about this one.

Never heard anything from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, but I had heard good things, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect here. But I'm impressed, even if I’m not totally in love with it.
The constant shifting of sound and styles is impressive, and the transitions between songs are cool and make this an immersive experience, but past a cool listen I don’t see myself returning to this much. It’s nice while it's on, and I like it, but that's about it. Definitely ... read more
I really like Megan and I thought Fever was a great project. SUGA disappointed me, and while this is better than that project, it still doesn’t reach the enjoyability of Fever.
What makes this feel like a step backwards is that while her personality and technical ability is there and as fun as ever, the production and beat selection is not as good as it could be, especially for an artist as big as Megan. Also the album doesn’t start off great once we get past the intro, as ... read more
