Similar to what she did with folklore, Taylor Swift released evermore but as different EPs to make little stories out of the songs.
This chapter is sad and hopelessly romantic as Swift paints a picture of a missing relationship. The vocals on this are nice and emotionally driven. The lyrics of tolerate it, hoax and champagne problems are great. This chapter is very descriptive and pretty. The inclusion of hoax on this is perfect even though ... read more
FAVORITE TRACK: willow - dancing witch version
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: willow - moonlit witch version
This is an EP of willow remixes. I actually am a big fan of this concept, having one song and then different versions of it. Although I don't think any are as great as the original, it's a solid concept executed well.
FAVORITE TRACK: Today Was A Fairytale
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: That’s When
Finally.... Today Was A Fairytale got justice.
The first half of this album is just a re-recorded version of the original songs. It's good but I do prefer the original Fearless- especially the singles. The innocence and honesty of Swift on songs like Fifteen, Love Story and You Belong With Me are what made them special the first time and it's really missing that. I do love the new version of The Best Day and ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Tell Me Why
So I was five when this album came out. Which is insane to think about and I basically grew up with this album. I have memories of being seven and sitting in a restaurant at the Great Wolf Lodge with Love Story playing, and memories of being thirteen and singing You Belong With Me in my room because the guy I liked got a girlfriend. Had I not grown up with this, would I like it as much? I don't know. But as nostalgic as ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: WHERE MAN KNOWS WANT
Well from the title and cover of this I really did not get what I expected. Ultrapop is grueling and dark and loud and very enjoyable. The screaming vocals and intense instrumentals work well for the collective. A LIFE SO WONDERFUL, THE MUSIC BECOME A SKULL and AN ITERATION have an intense guitar that makes these songs crazy and fun. There's a lot of screamo on this that took me by surprise but I ended up falling in ... read more

So I really really enjoyed The Black Key's last album "Let's Rock" so I was really excited for this record. UNTIL I REALIZED THIS IS ALL COVERS. I didn't know that going into this, so don't expect anything necessarily new from the duo. Delta Kream consists of covers from artists like Junior Kimbrough and other blues/grass-roots artists in the 50s and 60s.
This is really boring. There's ... read more

St. Vincent is extremely talented. I'm sure you don't need to hear that from me and whatever I write in this review will not be a new perspective to what people think of her music. But Daddy's Home is awesome. The psychedelic aspect on this is great on songs like Down And Out Downtown, Daddy's Home and My Baby Wants A Baby with the instrumentals being groovy and weird. The vocals are amazing on this, as expected from ... read more

Changing Colours is a very 70s-inspired summer album. I feel this album is more focused on the vibe it's trying to give off rather than the actual music and I feel that's helpful in this case. Babe Rainbow doesn’t have a sound that is completely new but this is a great summer album to relax to. The songs have a great groovy guitar on most tracks, like Changing Colours and Zeitgeist. Songs like The Wind and ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Keys Under Palm Trees
The release of Queen really disappointed me. This reissue of Beam Me Up Scotty reminded me why Nicki Minaj is so great. These tracks are so lively. Chi-Raq, Best I Ever Had and Itty Bitty Piggy are so iconic that it's impossible to hate them. This album is genuinely so fun, even if it's not the most innovative project ever. Shopaholic, I Get Crazy and Slumber Party just to name a few are tracks that are so fun it's impossible ... read more

Smol Data is an artist I've been listening to the release of their first EP and I've been really excited for this album. And I don't think it disappointed.
Inconvenience Store is a very cute indie pop debut. It's nothing new for the genre and comparison can be made between Smol Data and acts like Adult Mom and Frankie Cosmos, but Smol Data brings a lively and innocent sound to the genre. Songs like Dry Lightning and ... read more

This is so corny. Maybe I just don't like conscious rap enough but this is so so corny. The beats are nothing special, the flow is fine but the lyrics... man they are god awful. Some of my favorites (just from one track, too) include:
- “Could put a M right on your head, you Luigi brother now”
-“Angels sheddin' tears in Heaven, word to Eric Clapton”
-“To blow your nose off, gesundheit, ... read more

Summer 2000 brings a very futuristic sounding emo project with their first full length, John Krasinski. The twinkly guitars on this project are enticing and make them a standout to other acts in the genre. Autumn Birthdays and Two Hundred 70 are pretty and really focus on the Iight and flarey guitar. Unearth sounds unlike anything I've heard on an emo project before and really proves Summer 2000 has a certain charm to them. ... read more

Yeah man this is awesome. Maybe because I'm such a Current Joys fan but this is a lovely album. The lyrics on this are some of the best of Nick Rattigan's career and the first thing that stood out to me on this record. Dancer in the Dark is so descriptive yet songs like Shivers are so cutthroat and straight-to-the-point and both are equally beautiful. Rattigan really ... read more

This is my fever dream. Most of these songs pale in comparison to the original NO DREAM but p i c k i t u p definitely has the ability to stand alone as it sounds nothing like f a m e.

Billy Cobb is most known for his Weezer soundalike EPs Zerwee. This project is really my first time hearing Cobb as his own without being a playoff of Weezer.
The lyrics on this are very loser-core and honest and probably the best part of this project. These songs are raw and wrenching and the lyrics don't shy from how Cobb really feels. I think it becomes most apparent of the track It Takes Two to Tango, so What's That Guy Doing ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Dumb Song for Virgins to Cry To
I like this and you wanna know why I like this? Because girls just wanna have fun. The phrase "girls just wanna have fun" is so true. i'm a girl, and i love to have fun. and having fun is all i wanna do if i'm being frank. Most girls like me (silly/classy girls) Love to have fun. Cuz girls just wanna have fun. Thats just facts
FAVORITE TRACK: Eleanor Rigby
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: I Want to Tell You
Nah because why did they make Eleanor Rigby the greatest song ever.
Y'all know this is one of the greatest albums ever so here's some opinions I have:
I'm Only Sleeping and Here, There and Everywhere are both really beautiful.
Saying Yellow Submarine is the worst song on this album is a cop out.
For No One is incredibly underrated.
Tomorrow Never Knows is a staple song for The Beatles because it starts their weird ... read more

Mommy Don't Spank Me is a compilation/remix album of B-side tracks from Portamento. I'm only reviewing the first eleven tracks since the other songs are remixes!!
Now I think Portamento is close to perfect. I was hesitant going into this because, although I love Portamento, I didn't know if any of these tracks would be necessary. But I really like that Mommy Don't Spank Me sounds like its only album rather than just an ... read more

God what a beautiful album. It's so relaxing and wonderful. The imagery on this with the lyrics are amazing. Haley Heynderickx has a wonderful voice. There is not a single flaw with this album in my book.
The peacefulness and comfort that comes from this is just unmatched. The mention of bugs and nature throughout this is done smart and connects these songs so perfectly. The lyrics on Jo and The Bug Collecter are just wonderful and ... read more
