I have a feeling this will grow on me. The mood and 80s throwback is perfect but it isn't that catchy. We'll see.
You could say that she has grown/matured her musical style & sound into sort of pop rock but in reality, it's much worse than her previous works. I don't see any replay value in any of the album tracks but we'll see how it goes Hopefully it grows onto me but currently it's a messy and tries too hard to be conceptual but it's not.
I was really waiting for an album track to hit me but none of them. That's really unusual for a Halsey album.

It keeps on goddamn playing on my Tidal and I can't block it either. The music is cancerous to my ears.
The second "Break My Heart" sounds very familiar to 2 songs. The chorus sounds like a song I know of and the instrumental sounds like another song. I can't pinpoint what though.
Best tracks: I Luv Ya Papi, First Love, Never Satisfied & Charades
Bops: Booty & Expertease
A lovely dance pop album that's definitely for the night clubs / night parties. It just has that groovy and exotic feel like as if you're dancing effortlessly on the dancefloor or like that beginning of a movie where you're entering through the hallways into a nightclub. It's also really cohesive and surprisingly accessible yet innovative.
Best tracks: About Work The Dance Floor, Till I Own It, Ultimate Sailor, The Thrill, Never Let You Go, Honey Dripping Sky
The first few singles were fantastic and just ear candy but the quality quickly dissipates throughout the rest of the tracks. The other tracks sound like as if they have no purpose - other than to make some annoying noises and have a somewhat a shock factor.
The key moments on this album are the cool soothing bits, especially the track "Anything Like Me" which has a lovely finale which incorporate gorgeous guitar riffs and breathy vocals. Fill The Crown has a lovely intro but later ... read more
Overall this album is a...mess. I was really antipicating this album as Revival was pop perfection but this album was just a bland and generic mess. Most of the tracks here are mediocre and nothing really stands out. The album cover is hideous, the production is bland and the autotune usage is overwhelming.
People You Know is cringey asf, an example of autotune done wrong. She literally sounds like a basic ass robot in the song. Dance Again is a skip. Ring is a skip too. Let Me Get Me is...bad ... read more
A nice synth pop album that's mostly energetic and slightly reminiscent of Lorde.
Best tracks: Dreamers, Funny Like That, Stay the Night
This is the most cliche piece of music I've ever heard since Ed Sheeran last released his awful collab album.
There's only one great track here. And that's All the Ways. The rest are forgettable.
Well well well. It took this score about a week to reach its final score of 85. It started with a 70/100, but after listening and digesting this record a bit more, it got better and better.
I was firstly hooked onto the earworm of "Obssessed" but after that, every track just started growing on me. Every track on here is strong and deserves love.
Definitely one of the most strongest, relaxing and beautiful albums of the year!

Ok guys.... c'mon this album isn't that bad. It's quite enjoyable and it's meant to be experimental. It's definitely not a clean or polished project and that's what makes this album slightly special.
I really appreciate the integrations of ambient music and some weird ass instrumentals.
