Comfortable and smooth electronic. It's like slipping into your favorite pair of lounge pants and just relaxing.
I cant tell if this album is good, or if Humanz was so bad that this just seems better by comparison
at any rate, Its an enjoyable album if you dont go in expecting another demon days.
I'd venture to say Gorillaz time is behind them
Favorite Tracks: Humility, Hollywood, Sorcererz

Coming off the heels of Eternally Even it was hard to imagine Jim James would be able to match the quality of that album. I didn't expect it to be as good, but what I didn't expect was how much quality would have been lost. Gone is the interesting production and instrumentals for lo-fi garage rock vibes. His voice just sounds so wrong behind all these filters, and while there are some good songs, most end up falling flat.
Favorite songs: Throwback, No Secrets

Wow, this is as crazy, off the walls, and incredible as the art/band name would suggest. Highly recommend
Favorite Tracks: Antimatter Animals, Chameleon Paint, The Future of History
Least Favorite: Soft Power
Edit: This is currently my AOTY
Huge leap forward from product. clear production, some really phenomenal songs here. I guess my only complaints would be it kind of just dies in the middle and then struggles to get back to the energy and power of the first half.
Favorite Tracks: Ponyboy, Faceshopping
I cant see where the hype is from. This is way too short to actually be an album, and while the tracks are good they aren't anything ground breaking or new for the genre. Its just the same old same old.
Favorite Track: 4th Dimension
Least Favorite: Feel The Love
I think FJM really shines on a smaller scale like this. The album opens strong with amazing track after amazing and ends before it over stays it welcome. It's nice for him to scale back after how long and grand Pure Comedy was.
Even if you didn't like Pure Comedy, this is definitely worth a listen
Favorite Tracks: Hangout at The Gallows, Mr. Tillman, Just Dumb Enough To Try, God's Favorite Customer
Least Favorite: Date Night
This feels very much like the transitions from Arca's Mutant to his S/T. A welcome change with a ton of variety and amazing tracks to go along with it. Definite AOTY contender
Favorite Tracks: The Station, Black Snow, Warning
Least Favorite: Babylon
I don't know if I listened to a different album than everyone else, but it wasn't really that great. A few stand out tracks amongst a bunch of forgettable songs with no connection or feeling as if they below together.
Favorite Tracks: Total Football, Wide Awake
Least Favorite: Before The Water Gets Too High, Freebird II
Admittedly I'm not biggest fan of beach house beyond Bloom. However I can recognize a truly great album when I hear one, and this is definitely my AOTY as of now. It's amazing how a band like this can be so hit or miss but when they hit its right on the mark. The album is varied, its relaxing, its interesting, its dreamy, its everything I expected by Beach House turned up to 11
Favorite Tracks: Lemon Glow, Drunk in LA
Least Favorite: Dive
It's not a bad album, but damn is this bad. There are strong parts but they are far and few between really bland vocals, wasted guests, and weird progression.
Possibly one of the best new metal albums in a very long time
Favorite Tracks: Hajnali Csillag, Toltes, Sarember
Least Favorite: Gote
It's a good album, then again I have no priors with either artist so I can enjoy it for what it is.
Favorite Songs: Phantoms, Bomb Thrown, Nautical Depth
Least Favorite: Forever People, Captain Brunch
