Garbage Pale Kids is early song of the year contender. All of the songs are individually really good, I will say this feels more like a Peggy project ft Danny Brown rather than a true blend of both of their sounds. It is a testament to Danny’s ability that he is adapting to this sound and sounding good on it tho
Had to come back to set the record straight
I’m fine with this album conceptually but like it doesn’t really do anything. The songs don’t do anything interesting on their own or have a deeper narrative, which would be fine if any of these songs could fit into an actual sex playlist. But I really don’t see that soooo yeah idk. It’s not bad but it just kind of exists
Feels really all over the place but “I guess” into “that’s our lamp” had me very emotional
We SHOULD review bomb this because Sia is ableist
Some of the worst shit I’ve heard in a long time
Some of the features bring this up a little for me. Overall the song structures are much better than his two previous albums, but Em's lyrics are still cringe inducing, especially for his age.
C&tQ 2018 full length had its share of highs but ultimately felt bloated. This short ep is a much needed refinement, the songs are great and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Poppy's identity is becoming more evident with each release. However, I still find many of the songs here shallow and forgettable.
Sir, you're spilling water all over the place
Some of Rory's most self-aware yet ambitious work to date. Fun use of inflection and melody that I've often found lacking on prior releases. Many of these tracks subvert Rory's typical lowkeyness, feeling more like large, anthemic bangers.
