“No Love Deep Web” isn’t nearly as amazing as “The Money Store”, but it features enough hooks, beats and aggression to make it an essential Death Grips record. The lyrics here are as intense as always and they go for an even more bassy and minimalist sound here!

"Bottomless Pit" is Death Grips' loudest and most abrasive record yet. Which also makes it one of their best. My only real complaint is that there isn’t anything new here.

Amazing
DEATH GRIPS IS ONLINE
In 2011, mankind created a monster. That monster dropped a mixtape. This was the birth of the wildest hip hop group ever conceived. A group that takes the worst stereotypes of hip hop and makes them a grim fucking reality. This is all mixed in with MC Ride's ugly, screaming vocals and the raw, abrasive production.

I return to this album so much because it's always so damn fun to listen to! It's grand and absolutely rocking. Hell, this is probably one of my favorite records from Ziggy himself!

This was my childhood! Back when Adam Levine was writing good pop/rock tunes and his songs meant something other than being Top 40 hits, they actually feel like they came from a personal place. Sure,it’s still not perfect, but “Songs About Jane” is the only sign of potential that the band had.
Fucking nostalgic!

If Nothing But Thieves' debut saw them being a middling, commercially acceptable rock band, then "Broken Machine" sees them desperately trying to make their own sound... and the results are nothing short of impressive! These songs have a sense of energy and raw passion that was never found on their other effort! The production and instrumentation are punchy, satisfying and a lot more varied, Conor Mason's vocals are stunning and the choruses... oh my gosh the choruses! These choruses ... read more
This band seemed like it had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, their self-titled third album doesn’t bring them to that potential since they don’t seem to know what they’re trying to do with themselves.

Mediocre
Loud, hooky, creatively produced, with infectious instrumentals and enhanced with both MC Ride’s yelling and Death Grips’ usual experimentation. This is probably the most accessable record that will ever come from Death Grips. It’s also one of my favorite albums of all time! So if you’re interested, get get get get this album! Don’t just sit there!

The Killers finally found a cool new direction for their sound on "Wonderful Wonderful" and the tracks are catchy, energetic, beautifully-produced and sometimes ridiculous. It does fall off surprisingly hard during its last leg compared to its outstanding first half, but this is still one of the band's best records in a long time.

It's not what people expected, but Boarding House Reach shows Jack White's knack for experimentation. And the result is a brilliant, challenging, mind-bending and extremely creative feast for the ears. Though according to the album art, not for the eyes.

Awesome
On "Random Access Memories", Daft Punk go for a different aesthetic. But that doesn't make it any less charming and fun as it is. The production is so distinctly Daft Punk, with some added elements of disco, 70's pop, and other genres to play around with. It's their most diverse record yet and, along with perfect guest choices and some equally amazing slow cuts, makes it on par with "Discovery" in my opinion.

Home of the Strange is yet another step foward for Young the Giant! Their musicianship and lyricism are all presented here. Though it still stays a little bit safe.

Great
If it wasn't so bloated, this would've been one of Björk's best albums. “Utopia” combines elements of nature and the human breath to make the music on this album. That combined with Arca's production and some of Björk’s most revealing lyrics makes this record, admittedly, hard to digest.

Thom Yorke provides "Tomorrow's Modern Boxes" with some great atmospheric and minimalist beats. Combined with his haunting vocals, it can be a decent collection of eerie soundscapes. It can feel a little dull and lifeless at times, though.

Very Good
"The King Of Limbs" is probably the only Radiohead album that shrinks on me over time. In this one, they sample their own music and loop them. The result is very beautiful and can lead to some brilliant moments, but it also grows more and more stale as it goes on. They try to add more intricate details to some of these tracks but they don't build up into anything climactic. The lack of any meaningful progression also sacrifices the emotional impact of this record. The only time it ... read more
While the tracklist is a little bit messy as a collection of songs, the tone, the atmosphere, the production, it’s still there... there. "Hail To The Thief" confronts many themes of post-9/11 politics (hence the title) that are very well-written and, topped off with a great mix of both their rock and electronic roots, results in one of their more chaotic, explosive and varied records.

Wow... just wow... this is probably the worst album I’ve ever heard. The album art says it all (Is that Grandpa Skrillex?) There are 2 discs. None of them are even remotely good. Either they’re badly sung, badly written, badly recorded, or badly produced. Also, Snoop Dogg makes an appearance.

There’s a 2 in the title. But a 2 out of 10 is 2 high.
"In Rainbows" continues to blow my fucking mind, even today! Looking at both the cover art and listening to the music altogether really makes this one of the most beautiful listening experiences ever! It forgoes the politics and hysteria of "Hail To The Thief" in favor of a raw and passionate spin on the usual Radiohead formula (if there ever really was one). The production is gorgeous with reverb-soaked guitar arpeggios and dream-like electronics accompanying some of Thom ... read more
