Spectacular EP. My favorite work of Oingo Boingo. All 4 of these songs are in my top 10 and 3 in my top 5 favorite Oingo Boingo songs. Violent Love is the best song made by this incredible band, Only a Lad is spectacular, and I'm So Bad and Ain't This the Life are incredible.
Absolutely incredible. This is one of my favorite albums and I could go on and on and on and on about how every little detail is how I like it. The Lo-Fi and sound of her voice is amazing, to the absolute perfect quality. I wish some of the songs were longer, they're so spectacular. Every time Jennifer Clavin screams dude, oh my god it sounds incredible. She has such an incredible voice, the singing, shouting, and just not words AH!'s. This album is so much alike my own music too, and ... read more
Reviewing as I listen to each song.
tybee island horse ghosts: Absolutely great opening and setting high expectations for the rest of the album. This song is genuinely really good.
good sunday: Real interesting and bit unexpected change from the first song, I quite liked it actually. I wish I had media literacy and could talk about how deep it is, but I still kinda really like this song. The instrumental is quite good and I actually enjoyed the repetition of it (I listen to CSH after all) ... read more
My first listen I was blown away, this is spectacular, this is some of the best music I've ever listened to. It's now my second (by an extremely small margin) album, behind Twin Fantasy. America (Never Been) is my favorite song, not on the album, but of all time. I love this gay furry band.
It's not great. There's some hits but a whole lot of misses. None of the tracks are all that great and most of them are a bore. Rather spend my Saturday listening to good music, this album did not make it a good day.
This was 27 Minutes??? Felt like an eternity. It's just a bland, emotionless, fake sounding piece of soggy towel. Sadboy is exactly what I was when I realized this is how I spend my free time. Please STRIKE ME DOWN.
I backed my car into a cop car because I was too busy listening to this absolute masterpiece of an album to pay attention to road safety.
My favorite Dominic Fike album, which isn't saying all too much. Some songs are really good, some REALLY GOOD, and the rest are like 35/100. Nothing abysmal to see here, it was hard to sit through the whole thing though. Ant Pile and Mama's boy are really great and I'll likely continue to play them, but that's where I leave the rest of the songs in the attic.
90—>82 let’s be real
God's gift for me, specifically me. I did all my chores and Jesus said "Here son" and I said "what is it" and he said "me", I cried and listened to the whole thing in under 5 minutes by playing all the tracks at the same time. Of course it's not a 100 since not everything can be Lima Bean Man, but I actually appreciate the lack of discrimination against less favored tracks. 90/100 made my mom love me again.
This is it, this is peak man. I wish Jack went more experimental like he does with his micropop, but this is still fire. Some of my biggest inspirations, I love it to death.
I really adore the homemade sound to it. There are a few really good songs and the rest average as just pretty good. Definitely could be mastered better but it still sounds nice enough to not be all too bothersome. The audio on a few songs just sound off.
I tried to listen to it as a joke but the wobbling metal makes me want to die.
