I’m so glad I like this a lot, because I really need another great Denzel album. It’s not my favorite single of his but I honestly can see it growing on me even more because I do really like everything about it.
While this is decent, and I don’t really think there’s anything bad about this, I just don’t really care. It’s just yet another Youngboy project that’s basically doing the same thing he always does.
NBA Youngboy’s music has never been my favorite thing, as I usually like my trap music to be distinguishable and have personality, and Youngboy’s music is basically just generic trap. I do think he has some talent though, and he has made some songs I really ... read more
Even though From A Bird Eye’s View is held back sometimes by a few flaws and doesn’t necessarily improve upon The Lost Boy, it’s still an enjoyable project due to Cordae’s talent, the solid production and the decent features.
Cordae is someone who I thought had a lot of talent and potential, but over the last few years I’ve been getting less and less excited. The more of his music I hear, the more corny he sounds to me, and I was worried that he could fall down ... read more
Sick! is definitely a good album, but I’m just gonna need more time with it to fully collect my thoughts.
Edit: I've been listening for a week now and I still am not sure what to say about it. Review coming soon (hopefully)
CAPRISONGS is not nearly as ambitious or forward thinking as her past work, but it’s not trying to be. It’s just a fun collection of tracks packaged as a mixtape, and for what it is I love it.
FKA twigs is an artist whose music I have loved for a few years now. MAGDALENE was my second favorite album of 2019, and I loved what she did with that album. I then listened to many of her other great tracks, but I didn’t listen to LP1 or her EPs until recently, and I love those as ... read more
I’ve tried listening to this album many times over the past few years, but each time I just haven’t been able to get into it much. But I think I’m much more open-minded of a music listener now, and in anticipation of Earl’s new project, I decided to finally give it another shot and put out a review. And while I still am not as in love with this as many are, I do appreciate it and think that this is a unique and enjoyable listening experience despite its flaws for ... read more
I decided to finally listen to M3LL155X in anticipation of FKA Twigs’s new project CAPRISONGS. I recently listened to LP1 for the first time in full as well, and MAGDALENE has been one of my favorite albums ever since I first heard it in 2019, so I was very excited for this. And even though it is just an EP, it still is amazing and has some of my favorite FKA Twigs songs ever. Specifically In Time, which is a perfect song and sounds even better in context of this EP. I definitely am gonna ... read more
In anticipation of FKA Twigs’s new project CAPRISONGS, I decided to finally listen to LP1. MAGDALENE is one of my favorite albums ever, and I have heard a few key tracks from this album, but I have just never really gotten around to listening to LP1 in full. I’ve tried a few times, but things weren’t clicking and I wanted to really experience this the right way. And now that I have, I honestly regret not listening earlier because this is fantastic. The production is fantastic ... read more
Oliver Tree is getting kinda annoying, which is really disappointing considering how much potential he had. This song isn’t bad, but it feels disingenuous and like it’s trying too hard to become a viral meme.
Unsurprisingly, Gunna put out exactly what I expected with DS4EVER, which means another decent but ultimately pretty boring and not all that captivating album with some decent features and production.
I know many people tend to dislike Gunna’s music, but I usually don’t think that his music is all that bad. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not very good either, but he tends to have some solid production and features, so it’s at least decent a lot of the time. Coming into ... read more
This song is absolutely fantastic and one of the best pop songs that he has ever made. The instrumental is so fucking groovy and the song is just so catchy. I hope this becomes a huge hit and one of his biggest songs ever, because it definitely deserves it. Max Martin and Swedish House Mafia bodied this.
Also, I finally finished my full Dawn FM review if anyone is interested in reading it.

I WILL COLLECT MY THOUGHTS SOON BUT I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT IM SO GLAD TO BE A FAN OF THE WEEKND
Edit: alright, here’s the review:
While I may prefer After Hours just a little bit more, Dawn FM is the pop album I have always wanted from The Weeknd.
The Weeknd was the first artist whose music I fell in love with, and he is probably the most important artist to me and his music has been the soundtrack to so much of my life. I was 11 or 12 when I first heard The Weeknd, and at the time ... read more
I listened to this while playing Fortnite...I thought that was pretty fitting.
Its kinda ironic that an album called "Music" made me question whether I liked music anymore.
Also fuck you Sia for being ableist
I see almost no appeal in this outside of it being generic playlist filler.
This is just the Astronaut In The Ocean guy trend hopping and bringing almost no presence or personality to his music for 17 songs. The production is probably the highlight, as it is basic but not bad. But the writing is boring, the performances and delivery range from boring to embarrassing, and there are many times where the lyrics made me laugh out loud. Yeah, this isn’t the worst album ever, and some of the ... read more
This is just a colossal failure and a perfect example of how not to make music and market it.
While catching up on the worst music of the year in order to make my worst lists, I knew I had to finally listen to Tramp Stamp’s music. I had heard lot about the TikTok controversy group, and I had heard “I’d Rather Die”, but I wasn’t sure what this full EP would have in store for me. And unsurprisingly, it’s some of the most unlikeable and obvious attempts at ... read more
Words can’t really describe how terrible this is.
I couldn’t make my worst albums list without at least listening to this. So after finding someone who put it on SoundCloud (as it’s only available officially for purchase and fuck that), I unfortunately listened to this in full. And as expected, this was a 19 track torture chamber that made my brain melt for over an hour. I know hating on Tom MacDonald is what he wants and is overplayed, but I genuinely can’t get over ... read more
