Easily their best. Probably the best of the 60s. The Velvet Underground created here a classic and it is a classic for a simple reason.
It is timeless.

Not discrediting their second album (which is still quite great all the way through), but "for the first time" is not only one of the best debut albums of the past few years, but also probably the best album of this decade in general so far
