As good as I think this is, I have some mixed feelings on this album. On one hand, I feel like Alligator is inferior to it's predecessor, Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, mainly because that album was overall a much more fun listening experience. However, I also feel like this album is overall a better album musically. Everything on here from the instrumentals to the lyrics are much better than anything on The National's previous projects. Because of this, I decided to give this a higher score than ... read more
After hearing The National's lackluster debut record, I was honestly kinda nervous to see what else they could make. And I was definitely pleasantly surprised when I heard this. After hearing only their self-titled album, if you showed me Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers without telling me it was made by The National, I never would have guessed that it was them who made something like this. The opener to this record makes it very clear that they're going for a much different style; not only did it ... read more
The National's debut album has a decent sound, but it really doesn't do anything for me. While I can't say I dislike it, I do feel like it's incredibly generic. I feel like I've heard this exact indie rock sound done on so many other albums and it's been done so much better. For the first couple of songs I was alright with it being the same sound I've heard hundreds of times beforehand, but as it went on it just became more and more of a chore it listen. By the end I was just bored out of my ... read more
Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da is miles better than its predecessor, and I would even say it rivals Reise, Reise for top spot in Rammstein's discography. I would still argue that Reise, Reise is slightly better, but this record is still just as great as that one. This album is home to some of Rammstein's catchiest and overall most fun songs. This is also one of the few times in Rammstein's catalog where I find myself loving pretty much everything on here. There wasn't a dull moment and this was just ... read more
This is why I believe artist's should spend more than a year to make an album. Take the time to make it as good as possible, as enjoyable as possible. Fans have no problem with waiting as long as they actually get quality music. But this? This is just boring. It's generic. It's uninteresting. It's more of the same. This genuinely sound like it's trying to be Reise, Reise but fails due to how uninspired it is. The only saving grace in Rosenrot is that some songs - the singles in particular - are ... read more
Reise, Reise is probably my favourite Rammstein album so far. The instrumentals and vocals are both just so much more enjoyable here than on any of their previous works. Also, the songs are a lot more heavier here than on Mutter. At the moment, this is the only Rammstein record I can actually see myself returning to. I didn't dislike anything on here, and honesly, I ended up loving pretty much everything.

I think Rammstein are beginning to grow on me. I actually enjoyed this album a lot. The instrumentals actually caught me off guard with how much better they are here than on their previous projects. I ended up loving pretty much every song on here. They were all pretty heavy and at times intense. Despite this, I feel like I won't be coming back to this too often, hence my score being below an 8. I feel like Rammstein in general are just a band that I won't find myself coming back to too often, ... read more
Sehnsucht is a big improvement over their debut, but I still can't say that I love it. The positives on this are that the instrumentals are clearly much more interesting and overall just better. The vocals are also much better performed. However, I still feel like this wouldn't be something I could come back to more times. I appreciate it and enjoyed listening to it, but I just can't really get into it too much. Sehnsucht is definitely a good industrial metal record, but it just isn't for ... read more
Rammstein's debut album ends up being an extremely average release. I can't really talk about the lyrics because of the obvious language barrier, so I will have to focus on the performances. The vocals are decent but they don't really do too much for me, mainly because of my own bias because I don't understand a word he's saying, but it is clear that Lindemann is putting his all into it. The instrumentals are probably the best part of the record, but they aren't really anything great. On songs ... read more
I don't care what anyone says, I like this record a lot. It has its problems, sure, but it has one thing that none of Tyler's previous projects had - it's FUN. It's entertaining from beginning to end. Maybe it's because of the loud and crazy sound it's going for. I'm a complete sucker for anything loud and fun.
I don't think this is anywhere near as good as his next project, but goddamn is it enjoyable! I do think that the last couple of tracks dragged on a bit, but they were still incredibly ... read more
Bastard is by far Tyler's most boring and forgettable release so far. I genuinely don't even know what to say because I can barely remember anything of note. The beats were mostly uninteresting and the lyrics were more times than not just cringy.
Favourite Tracks: French!; Bastard
Least Favourite Tracks: AssMilk; Odd Toddlers; Slow It Down
While Wolf is much more consistent and enjoyable than it's predecessor, Goblin, it still holds the same major problem: it drags on for way too long. I did like this one a lot more and was a lot more interested throughout the majority of the record, but I can't help but feel like a few songs either needed to be shorter or just not be on the album.
However, a good thing is that there are quite a few more songs that I would actually call great. In fact, I would say that most of the songs on here ... read more
This seems to be a polarizing album, and honestly I can see both sides. Personally, I really enjoyed the first couple of tracks; they weren't anything to write home about, but they were really entertaining and somewhat impressive. However, about half-way through Radicals, it became clear that this record would just be a drag. That 7 minute track alone just felt like it should have ended about three minutes earlier, and that's pretty much the problem with most of this record: there's so many ... read more

While it's still better than their first EP, I still struggle to say that Inhale, Do Not Breathe is anything above average. I think that Tatiana's vocals are instantly better than Maksym's, but that doesn't really say much considering how annoying his voice is. Unfortunately, the main problem is that the songs on here are just not interesting at all. None of them are necessarily bad, they are just boring. I found that this ended up being just background music while I did other things, and ... read more
Jinjer really didn't get off to a good start, did they? I guess the biggest problem with their debut EP is that it has their original vocalist Maksym Fatullaiev, and honestly I just think his voice is annoying. The instrumentals are good for the most part, but they aren't anything special. It's clear that Jinjer really needed Tatiana to take over on vocals, otherwise they would have just become another obscure death metal band with nothing really special about them.

I don't understand this. How do you go from something like Flower Boy to this? This is only 10 minutes long yet it feels so much longer. I don't find it in me to say that I despise anything on here, but there was absolutely nothing good about it neither. This was just a waste of time.
Favourite Track: Big Bag
Least Favourite Track: Hot Chocolate
This is my first time listening to Tyler, The Creator so I can't compare to his earlier work. Honestly, Tyler really gave me an impressive first impression. Flower Boy is nothing short of great. Most every track on here were extremely enjoyable with a few that I would even call amazing. However, track 11 onward completely lost my attention and I found that I just couldn't care less for it from that point. I think the main issue was probably the fact that Droppin' Seeds was the only song that I ... read more
The Wire may be considered one of the greatest television shows of all time, but the music doesn't do it justice. When you hear about The Wire, you hear about the realistic dialogue, the brilliant acting and superb characters, the tragic storylines, but you never hear about the music. This is partly because the show doesn't even have a soundtrack: it has a theme song that's covered by a different artist every season, as well as an ending montage for every season, but save for a couple of odd ... read more
I was feeling the urge to come back and listen to my favourite band of all time, so I decided to come to the greatest hits album that I actually hadn't heard before. I mean, I love all of the tracks on their own, so there was no way I could dislike this. And while I do think that all of the songs are great, I do feel like the album falls under the same problem as every other greatest hits record out there: some of these tracks just aren't the 'greatest' in the bands discography and don't really ... read more
