Huge improvement to 1999. Better verses (although Joba's is still eh), and i really dig this instrumental.

It's like he took all of the feedback and all he got out of it was "do more gross-out bars" and doubled-down on that. Some of these bang but it's beginning to look like Lil Boat 1 was a fluke.

Honestly much better than I remember it being years ago. Logic has great flows and is lyrically passable. Definitely worth a listen.

Excellent concept but hit or miss execution. Many tracks I will return to but a handful I will always skip.

Kinda underwhelming from Freddie, still some bops on here though.

Pretty solid for an old-head project. Phonte has some good bars and flows. There are some decent emotional moments throughout this. Give it a listen.

Depending on the day his best album. The best J. Cole hooks are on here. They are not great, but none of them are as bad as the hooks on his following albums.

His best album lmao. J. Cole still lacks any form of self-awareness, but at least on this album he fully commits to his corny persona and tries to make something meaningful out of it. This album at the very least breaks the formula for him.

Eh, its fine. Bloated like most cole albums are. He is noticeably less preachy on this album which is nice I guess. I will never come back to this.

Yikes. All the J Cole stans hype this up as a classic, so I expected it to be at least average, but no. These are some of the worst hooks to have come out this decade. Every single track on this album is too long and could be cut shorter.

It is so infuriating to listen to MC of Royce's caliber just clumsily put together a record like this. His technical abilities shine, but I can't say any of these tracks are even good. Legendary is legitimately one of the worst songs I have heard this year.

I like it it's way more than what I ever expected.

My interest was piqued until the 2 minute mark of the second track. The rest is just bland. I only checked this thing out because of the horrendous cover art.

God damn this is so good. Just really want more. Apparently there's some visual album that goes along with it, so maybe that will heighten the experience. Don't miss out on this!

This is beautiful! His lyrics and his pronunciation physically tickle to listen to. Different sound than his LP that came out this year, but both styles work very well.
