HEY GUYS, Shallow wannabe music critic here! Does anybody else think this just death grips album but for mainstream???? Rt if agree
Will hopefully do a lengthy review of this some day. Vampire Weekend has grown on me immensely this year, they've become one of my all-time favorite discographies with only 3 albums. Hopefully the rumored fourth album lives up to the rest.
Original Score: 75
Man this shit clicked the other day and I just been tearing up to it this whole week. Might get to a full review of it eventually.
Original Score: 80
Thank you gen X-ers for making this possible
Imagine embodying a cover band persona to the point where you vocalist is indistinguishable from Robert Plant. This album made me angry to the point where physical symptoms began. Yeah sure, GVF are technically passable, but that means nothing when you’re essentially color-by-numbers for classic rock.
This man Mike squashed his beef by winning a wrestling match, dropped an EP, and has a comedy central show in the works, and y'all still sleep on him?
We should have listened. Lupe knew better. He warned us. Cash Money was developing something unspeakable in its labyrinth. Lupe could not have told us directly about what was going on at Cash Money Research. Atlantic Records was investing heavily into the research being developed at Cash Money, Lupe was silenced. He crafted an album full of subliminal warnings. The entirety of this album, from its sound, to how bad it actually is, was all in self-awareness. We, the audience, were meant to piece ... read more
Tha Carter V is actually just a collection of tracks created by the real Lil Wayne before his death in 2009. Clone Wayne became empathetic to Lil Wayne while literally in his shoes, and curated this album as a tribute to the real Wayne. God Bless you Clone Wayne, you did the world a great service.

Further proof of Birdman's affiliation with Cash Money Research lies in Birdman's eyes. Has anyone ever seen Birdman remove his shades? Didn't think so. Birdman has experimented with Cybernetics throughout his entire body, his key attribute being his robo-eyes. These allow him to process data at rates thousands of times faster than the smartest humans. He can also fire lasers. Lupe Fiasco attempted to warn us by creating an entire album named "Lasers". It's soulless, synthetic sound ... read more
Wayne died in 2009. His entire body of work after this year was enacted by a clone created by Cash Money Research, headed by Birdman.

This may be the most frustrating album I have ever listened to.
This is the best produced Brockhampton album. The instrumentals are so thematically consistent, Iridescence creates an amazing atmosphere with its sound palette. Even on the weak tracks the instrumentals and effects create a picture-perfect soundscape that really nails the visual theme of Iridescence. At times on Iridescence I felt as though I was in a rainy London flickering with different hues. Moments like the interlude on ... read more
Jeffery Lamar “Young Thug” “Sex” Williams, aka Thugger, has returned for his 3rd project of 2018. Following the releases of “Hear No Evil” EP and “Slime Language” compilation mixtape, we arrive at On the Rvn. On the Rvn is heavily rooted in the context of Jeffery’s current life circumstances, having been recently charged with eight felonies, mostly involving the possession and “intent to distribute” various drugs. On the Rvn is ... read more
The best of the trilogy. Brockhampton's trajectory from release to release is very promising, as each album has shown vast improvement. While I wouldn't necessarily consider this album experimental (see this word thrown around a lot regarding Sat 3), for the groups standards it definitely takes more risks, which mostly pay off. A lot of these tracks have a poppier, R&B flavor which really helps distinguish it from their other releases.
Original Score: 80
Brockhampton's third outing is miles better than anything they did before. This album actually sounds professionally polished. Many of the members improve greatly on 2. This is also Joba's best performance, ever. The hooks improved greatly and each member fits into this project to make it flow from verse to verse without the result feeling forced or awkward.
Original Score: 80
The 3 track stretch of Heat, Gold, and Star is still perfect. I would have included Boys with those tracks, but I find the hook way to obnoxious for it to be listenable. The remainder of my criticism with this album is how a lot of the hooks and verses feel amateurish.
A common criticism I see is the use of auto-tune ruining the experience. I actually feel it is used well for the majority of the album. This album has way more glaring issues than "autotune is bad i ... read more
