This was my shit in middle school! A lot of these tracks still slap, but a good amount haven’t aged well either.
I don't think you can remove a single track or feature from this album. These Madlib beats are so perfectly suited for Freddie while still sounding obviously like Madlib beats
After being inconsistent since DS2, future gives a kind of return to form on Beastmode2. It's nothing groundbreaking or barrier-pushing, but it is a succinct collection of tracks that are worth your time.
damn, come on thug. There's so much throwaway on this. What happened? It certainly isn't bad, but Young Thug clearly has better projects in him. I just expect more.
I expected this to exceed movies with the sound off by at least a little bit. It’s just flat and boring. It’s like Mac was trying so hard to distance himself from the personality he came up on and now we’re left with a bland, indistinguishable rap record. Like we get it, you can rap, most people are taking you seriously after 2013. You could have made this creative or interesting.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this record. The structure and storytelling is outstanding and there is enough instrumental variation to keep interest outside of the lyrics. Fantastic!
