A musical and lyrical improvement over the groups debut, this record is everything about their debut, but refined and matured to fully showcase the bands unlimited musical talent, all wrapped in a package that is complicated while still somehow being accessible. While some of the topics are a bit goofy (i'm looking at you Side Black), it's still a grand, interesting and fun listen.
Favorite Jams: Ogre Battle, Father to Son, The March of the Black Queen
Lest Favorite: Procession
What an impressive debut. It's somehow got the charisma and style of Queen's later records with even more emphasis on pure, unadulterated, and fun as hell rock and roll. It's much more complex and intricate of a listen then the more popular Queen albums, but this is still very much worthy of the bands royal status.
Favorite Jams: Doing All Right, Liar, Son and Daughter
Lest Favorite: Seven Seas of Rhye

While it might not be as funny as previous records, it's songs are better constructed and much catchier then ever before. The skits, while still not good, have been refined, and the bands musical talents are honed to make most of these songs genuinely quite great in moments. It's a strange record to say the very lest, and it is not gonna be for everyone, but it's great in all of it's oddness. I'm probably the only person on planet Earth who will like this, but I don't care. Listening to ... read more
It's a catchy, creative, interesting and most importantly funny collection of acoustic comedy metal tracks that will at times leave your sides split and your head banging. And while the good tracks are genuinely amazing, the over abundance of skits and short track lengths make it hard for every song to stick out.
Favorite Jams: Wonderboy, Rock Your Socks, City Hall

Coming into this album, I didn't have a lot of high hopes. Joji's last EP was pretty bad, with only one song i'd ever come back to. Dispute my low bar set however, this album, at lest for me, was really a step up. It's a big step up in terms of tone, concepts, lyrical abilities and production, with some of the most interesting, fun, creative and fully fleshed-out songs in Joji's discography. This album (the first half at lest) displays that Joji can be much more then another sadboy soundcloud ... read more
What a fucking come back. Not only is this by far Daughters most experimental and strange record to date, it's also their most menacing, evil and borderline terrifying. It's got a bigger emphasis on mood and atmosphere then other records, making the punches that this album blows much more impactful and hard. And, as per usual, it's an incredibly intricate record that demands full attention to really click with it, with replays almost needed for this perticular record. Yes, it isn't as heavy, ... read more
Look, the title track is a glorious sci-fi trip that is almost perfection. But there is a lot more to this record then it's title track. Like most Bowie records, it's a strange, artistic and at times hard to pin down assortment of acoustically tinged musical stories that feels like a chocolate box full of bizarre treats that sticks to the back of your tongue ever so slightly. However, it does get repetitive at times, and there isn't a whole lot of energy that keeps the album going, but there ... read more
It's definitely one of the more British records David has put out, but it's also one of the more obnoxious, boring, dated and lest entertaining records of his career. It's one to skip for sure, with not enough highlights to really stand out.
Favorite Jams: Rubber Band, Please Me Gravedigger
Lest Favorite: We are Hungry Men
Is it ridiculous? Yes. It it cheesy? Yes. Is it entertaining, fun, well performed, enjoyable, catchy, infectious, funny and an album that i'll be coming back to more then once? Defiantly. It's an album that relishes in it's goofy nature, and while it can be hard to take seriously at times, when it's giving it's all it's truly a joy to listen to. Even if your put off by the British-ness of the whole affair, it's catchy, fun and incredibly entertaining arena rock that will have listeners coming ... read more
The album is a pretty mixed bag of a record, with moments feeling slogish, disjointed, boring and underdeveloped, and other moments feeling grand, fun, free, fanatic, interesting and entertaining as hell. For a soundtrack to a film, it's not the worst you could go for. For a Dave Grohl project however, it does feel a bit wishy washy.
Favorite Jams: Mantra, From Can and Cannot, Centipede
Lest Favorite: Your Wife Is Calling
Eh? If you liked the last Scars album then this is a decent enough continuation. It may not be as memorable, fun, creative or interesting as the last record, and at times it really does feel like it drags by the first track, but it's a finely played, perfectly serviceable alt-metal album.
Favorite Jams: We Won't Obey, Angry Guru, Dictator
Lest Favorite: Sickening Wars
Jesus Christ this album is a treat. It's a dark, angry, sad, depressing, insane, creative, fun, creepy, intense and all around an outstanding record from an artist that has perfected his craft. It's an album that is both fearful and contempt with death, addiction, pain and suffering. It's an album that looks at all the fragility's and the worst of Danny's life, and puts them on display for the world to see. It's Danny Brown at his most honest, most earnest, most tense, most interesting, most ... read more
It ain't XXX, but it's still pretty good!
While XXX was violence, aggression and depression in extremes, this album seems much more mature with how it deals with it's topics, at least in the first half. The bangers bang harder then ever and the more thoughtful songs are now more thought provoking, with Danny feeling much more confident in the way he delivers his lines. It's more bouncy, energetic, punchy, fluid and overall a fun experience.

OK, the Led Zeppelin comparison is kinda hard to ignore here. It's so 70s classic rock that when it comes to that comparison, it's a pretty hard hurdle to jump. And, in the case of Greta Van Fleet, it's not a hurdle they are really that ready to jump yet. Hell, some songs could potentially get their 'homage' sued if they aren't careful. The band is extremely talented and each member pulls their weight (especially the vocalist, by god), but the music isn't as original or as interesting as it ... read more
Oh Tom Morello, what the fuck happened here? More importantly, what happened to you? How did you go from one (arguably two if you count Audioslave) of the greatest bands of the 90s to one of the worst albums of your career? Not only is the mashup of Tom Morello's pretty great guitar playing and 2018 dubstep a bad idea as a concept, making this a weird, confused concept album is even worse. Which is a real shame, because this album does house some pretty interesting ideals, with some of the ... read more
If this album had a rating, it would defiantly be R18. This album is Danny Brown putting his foot down with full force, yelling at the listener "I'm here" in full aggression mode. While what Danny raps here can be seen as juvenile and basic at times (although "I've got the Penis Psalms for your Vigina Monologes" is an amazing line), Danny has some of the most thought provoking and interesting flows and ideas in a hip-hop album I've heard in years. It's aggressive, sensitive, ... read more
As insane and off the wall as their previous albums, but with a much groovier, fun, accessible and demented attitude that works wonders for the bands sound. The production has is exquisite here, perfectly capturing Daughters chaotic sound, and by god is it chaotic. It's almost idiotic how good, catchy and accessible this album sounds despite how crazy and off the wall this album gets, with each track delivers something new and interesting, all while still maintaining the almost scary riffs and ... read more
While Canada Songs was an assault the the senses, this record refines, underlines and increases the intensity and musicianship to create a truly unique and fun experience, with more memorable and interesting songs being made in the process. Its a great mathcore album that's just waiting to be explored.
Favorite Jams: Recorded Inside a Pyramid, The Fuck Whisperer, Hyperventilationsystem

As far as actual musicianship and performances go, your not going to find much here. What David Lynch and Alan R. Splet have here is a disturbing sequence of noises and musical shapes to coincide with a deeply personal and disturbing film. It's music to fall to sleep to, if your willing to have a few nighmares along the way. It's music that's relaxing as it is terrifying, and it's pretty interesting to witness. While there is more here then strictly ambience (take for example In Heaven) it's ... read more
During the formation of BROCKHAMTPON, Kevin Abstract, Bearface and Romil were making some shoe-gaze music in their garage. And it's damn good, with the distorted, ugly and brutal instrumentation paired with the airy, distant vocals sounding damn fine on the ears. If your in the need for some more slow jams to cry yourself to sleep to, then NOWIFIII have got 5 tracks of the stuff you need.
