One of the most 80s records on the market, yet lest 80s at the same time. Adam and the Ants present a proud and loud expression of full-on, over the top, 80s new wave at it's finest and its weirdest. And, while it is fun in chunks, it's both glorious and tiresome at the same time.
Favorite Jams: Physical (You're So), Antmusic, The Magnificent Five
Lest Favorite: Ants Invasion
Imagine the weirdness of King Of Limbs era Radiohead, with the beauty and complexity of Thom Yorkes solo works, with goddamn Flea on bass. That's this album. It's fantastic.
Favorite Jams: Ingeune, Judge Jury and Executioner, Before Your Very Eyes
Lest Favorite: Unless
In some ways an improvement over "one of the more exciting pop-rock acts in recent memory"'s debut album, in other ways filled to the brim with filler and atmosphere, it's a solid sophomore record from UKs most melancholic pop stars.
Favorite Jams: Love Me, If I Believe You, The Sound
Lest Favorite: I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (how is that name even allowed)
An of the most unique ideas in the metal scene in a while: Combining slave chant styled blues with the harsh instrumentation and vocal delivery of metal. And somehow, despite some production problems, it works extremely well.
Favorite Jams: Devil Is Fine, In Ashes, Blood in the River
Lest Favorite: What Is A Killer Like You Gonna Do Here?
While it's nothing spectacular or incredible (Hell, in some points it's extremely underwritten and pretentious) there still lots of interesting ideas and enjoyment to come from this EP. Jojis voice is a delight to listen to, even if the things he's saying can be a bit on the corny side.
Favorite Jams: Will He, Window, Pills
Lest Favorite: Bitter Fuck
Eeeeaaeeaaeeaeeeeehh? It's nothing too bad, mostly just boring, summer stuffed track after summer stuffed track. Each member definitely brings something interesting and fun to each track, but it seems like each of these artists could thrive in their own records and songs. Here, each artist seems to be trying to fit into the "feel good summer jam" mold this record shapes. There is some interesting ideas, and i'm all for more Asian representation in the rap industry, but there is too ... read more
Is it this mind expanding, world changing, Pink Floyd-esq game changer? Well, it's a game changer in the hip hop world for sure, with Kendrick playing both for and against the trap invasion of the rap world. But even if this album doesn't change everything, even talking about how it could says a lot about the quality of the album. The record is full of stomping banger, emotional think pieces, and experimental tracks that will amaze even the most hardened hip-hop head.

Not only is the lyrical world Tyler creates here fun to explore and vibrant as hell, the music that accompanies this world is fun and punchy as hell, with many songs as explosive as they are emotional. A great concept album from hip-hops more creative figures.
Favorite Jams: Answer, Pigs, Tamale
Lest Favorite: Trashwang
Fair warning: I know that I'll be the only human on Planet Earth who genuinely likes this album start to finish. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the off the wall crazy production, or earth loud, abrasiveness and almost punk-esq rapping in some tracks, or it could just be Tyler's explosive personality. But for me, this is a fun and explosive ride that fully delves deep into the mind of Tyler, the Creator. Cherry Bomb indeed.

Probably the craziest and off the wall record SOAD have ever made, for better or for worse. It's still creative, fun and tightly performed. For a finale, it's one hell of a bang.
Favorite Jams: Soldier Side, Attack, Vicinity of Obscenity
Lest Favorite: She's Like Heroin
While not as tightly performed or as well written as the rest of SOAD discography, but it's still a fantastic record none the less. It still has the intensity, the off the wall creativity, the tearing satirical bite of the lyrics, and the well performed instrumentation.
Favorite Jams: Cigaro, Violent Pornography, Question!
Lest Favorite: Soldier Side - Intro
Somehow System Of A Down fully find and perfect their sound with only two albums under their belt, giving off one of the best metal records of the 21st century, if not of all time. The political punch, the snarling satire, and wacked out weirdness and the insane instrumentation are just some key points for this fantastic record.
Favorite Jams: Deer Dance, Forest, Psycho
Lest Favorite: X
When people talk of alt-metal, they usually think of many sounds and bands. System Of A Down perfected the sound one their very first attempt at a full length. Not a lot of bands can say they pulled it off, and the loud, abrasive and heavy as sin Self Titled album is all that and more.
Favorite Jams: Mind, Spiders, DDevil
Lest Favorite: Soil
One of the most extremely solid debuts from the early 2000s, with punch instrumentation, vibrant vocals and strong and powerful lyrics. It's extremely tight, perhaps to the point of exhaustion, but it's worth it for the exciting ride.
Favorite Jams: Pioneers, Banquet, Helicopter
Lest Favorite: This Modern Love
Not only are Bloc Party in familiar yet strangely distant territories, the waters here guide Bloc Party into much more emotional, much more punchy and much more experimental rivers.
Favorite Jams: SRXT, Where Is Home?, Song For Clay (Disappear Here)
Lest Favorite: Flux
This hurt. Like, really badly. Not only is Bloc Party best when they are off the wall, energetic, fun, and intense, but they are also their worst when they are slow, forgettable, boring and sloggy. Sadly, this album is chock full of the later, and it's kills the entire project. It's slow, boring, sloggy and the worst sin of all: Forgettable. And when talking about Bloc Party, that seems like a crime against humanity.
Favorite Jams: The Love Within......uh......Only He Can Heal ... read more
While definitely different from anything Bloc Party have done, it's still got the cut-throat energy and off the wall instrumentation that has made this band so fun, fresh and exciting in the first place. The shift in sound will turn off some, but if you keep an open mind, this may go down as one of Bloc Party's best.
Favorite Jams: Ares, Biko, Halo
Lest Favorite: Zephyrus
An explosive, fun, vigorous return to good old indie bangers that Bloc Party have built their career off, and they are damn good at it. Turning all the guitars up to 11, it's a loud, catchy and extremely fun record that'll leave an impression for weeks and weeks after.
Favorite Jams: 3X3, We're Not Good People, Coliseum
Lest Favorite: Real Talk
