I may be the only goddamn human on this planet that genuinely loves this album, but goddamn it i'll stand by this record till the day I die!
I know WHY this album has this polarizing reception. It might not be the most 'classic sounding' Daft Punk record, with the record going for a more abrasive, angry, dark and dirty feeling it it. with the group striving to make a statement against their pop crossover appeal by stripping away everything that made them so accessible and easy to listen to, ... read more
Daft Punk's nostalgic funk sci-fi opus not only shows off the groups knack for making fun, exciting, dance-able, pumping hooks and surprisingly thoughtful and touching slower moments, but opens a new door for Daft Punk to head into any music direction they want.
Favorite Jams: Within, Contact, Touch

(Note: As of writing this, I haven't heard any Coheed and Cambria records apart from this one. Since this is the only CaC record that doesn't fit into some huge sci-fi story, I decided this would be a good jumping on point. I have nothing to compare this to, so that's my "warning")
Coheed and Cambria on this record have gone into a full soft-rock-prog-pop mode, with the songs being the most honest and open in the bands long spanning career (mostly because of the aforementioned ... read more
While sometimes it does rely to heavily on guest verses to validate it's own existence, N.E.R.D. show that they are one of the funnest, eccentric, electric, off the wall, and craziest hip-hop outfits in recent memory, with Pharrell and Co going off all cylinders on this new record that could be N.E.R.D.'s greatest.
Favorite Jams: ESP, Don't Don't Do It, Secret Life of Tigers
Lest Favorite: Lifting You
While not as fun and catchy as NSP or other Nerd-Rock records, it's an enjoyable and fine debut. While it is disappointing that Arin Hanson's surprisingly impressive flow, Danny's incredible vocals and Brain Wecht's fun and bouncy instrumentation is borderline wasted on lackluster jokes like "What if we fucked Kirby?" or "What if Nook from Animal Crossing was really mean?", there are elements to this record that has fun and entertainment throughout.

While some songs are funny and some tracks are entertaining and well constructed, it's a little bare bones to be anything other than a novelty project that really doesn't live up to the debut albums expectations.
Favorite Jams: Smash, The Simple Plot of Metal Gear Solid, The Hero of Rhyme
Lest Favorite: Intro
This album is something to behold. An album so rich and dense, you'll be in awe of how album made by one man can sound like an orchestra. Both filled with childlike innocence and madman fury, it's a stunning record to behold in it's entirety, especially when your under the pretense of it being all by one crazy man. While the length of tracks and wildness of the music on display may be a little "odd" for some, if your willing to be swept away by Mike Oldfield's incredibly and richly ... read more
Code Orange have finally found a sound that not only gives them the creative freedom to be as evil and as brutal as they want, they've also found a way to make that sound memorable, fun, strange, and punishingly experimental in a lot of ways that not many metal-core bands do. It sounds like a metal-core album through the pulverizing eye of a digital blender, and creates a doomed-filled atmosphere that is unparalleled right now in metal.

While the songs I picked up on while listening were exquisitely performed, brutal as hell and fun as fuck to listen to, it's still has a problem of tracks not really standing out by themselves.
Favorite Jams: I Am King, Your Body Is Ready..., Unclean Spirit
Lest Favorite: My World
While now-a-days Childish Gambino is a larger then life project, back when Childish was getting started, it was kinda hard to take him seriously, as he was one of those artists like Eddie Murphy or Matt Berry who was famous before he went into music. And on Camp, it kinda shows.
Favorite Jams: Bonfire, You See Me, Backpackers
Lest Favorite: Sunrise
Childish Gambino somehow re-invented himself yet again, here putting on the persona of a funk/soul/psychedelic/rock god. His croony and lovably soulful singing voice adds layers upon the background of a funk/soul record, and it does wonders for one of the most interesting personas in hip-hop.
Favorite Jams: Me and Your Mama, Riot, Zombies
Lest Favorite: The Night Me And Your Mama Met
This album was David Bowie firing off all cylinders. It's his most experimental and his most strange album in David Bowie's career, which is fitting for David Bowie's legacy. It's an album that knows of death, is about death but is not in fear of it. It's an album that, for lack of a better term, accends beyond the stars. Rest in peace.
Favorite Jams: Blackstar, Lazarus, Girl Loves Me
Lest Favorite: 'Tis A Pity She's A Whore
David Bowie is the king of trying new things and experimenting. And boy howdy, does he ever experiment and try new things in this crazy, off the wall sci-fi rock and roll psydo-musical that try's everything and the kitchen sink to tell its story. And it works.
Favorite Jams: Five Years, It Ain't Easy, Suffragette City
Lest Favorite: Star
It's Blur's biggest and best splashes into the minds of London-livers everywhere, with a concept so uniquely British that it almost needs to be heard to be fully experienced. It's a great album that is one of Blur's best.
Favorite Jams: This Is A Low, Girls and Boys, Bank Holiday
Lest Favorite: The Debt Collector
The Greatest Escape isn't just a random title, it's a statement from the band to escape the mundane, boring and smoggy lives of everyday life and do something more fun, more fresh, more exciting. And in making this statement, Blur deliver one of their more fresh albums with a potent and timeless message.
Favorite Jams: The Universal, Globe Alone, Country House
Lest Favorites: Dan Abnormal
Rush here have made an album that, while not legitimately amazing or spell-binding, is fun and fresh for Rush. It's a nice return to the hard rock roots that cemented the band in history, while still maintaining some of the progy roots of their other albums. Good listening.
Favorite Jams: Anthem, Stick It Out, Nobody's Hero
Lest Favorite: Between Sun And Moon
It's funky. It's sound expanding. It's fun as hell. It's one of the more goofier Rush albums out there. And it's pretty darn good.
Favorite Jams: Roll The Bones, Where's My Thing, Ghost of a Chance
Lest Favorite: Neurotica
I mean it's fine. It's not offensive or terrible. It's really lengthy and boring, and sort of falls short of what Rush can do musically. I really can't remember a single song off this thing.
Favorite Jams: Uh...Time Stands Still?
Lest Favorite: Most.
