There Existed An Addiction To Blood is an interesting listen for sure. I like the vibe and the idea, but the execution could be better. I just always get bored about halfway through. The album doesn’t end very strong, and Piano Burning was....interesting, to say the least. I also think the production, while it can be pretty good, holds it back at points. I definitely get more good than bad from it though. There are some great highlights, and Daveed Diggs is an excellent storyteller, but ... read more
When this album dropped last year, I wasn’t really familiar with James Blake. I had heard his features on albums I enjoyed, but that was about it. I saw the album track list and saw the features, but I only listened to the ones that intrigued me. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much out of it. Because of this, I never listened to the whole project. But as 2019 went on, I kept hearing praise about this album, and eventually I heard Barefoot In The Park and was blown away. I finally ... read more
I had never seen Rhythm & Flow but I saw he was SiR’s brother and decided to check this out. While I’m not blown away, I see the potential. The production is pretty good, and D Smoke clearly has talent, but it just ends up feeling a little basic. I definitely get a Kendrick vibe from his voice and cadence though. But while this is pretty average as far as rap albums go, I’m intrigued to see where he goes next after this and to see how he grows as an artist because this ... read more
There’s a lot of potential here. But while I think there still is room for improvement, as a whole I really enjoy this album and it’s beautiful sound. The production complements Ryan’s voice well and the songs are very compelling. The highlights on here really show how much potential he has. Songs like Casino (which is by far my favorite track on here) have me excited to see what he does next. But until then, there’s a lot from this album I can enjoy.

Wait, you’re telling me this is a new album and that I’ve never heard this before? Are you sure? I can’t tell because most of the songs that he makes (with some rare exceptions) sound exactly the same.
For real though, this album is so generic. It’s probably his best album, but that doesn’t mean it’s all that good. If he took the best 10-12 songs this would be a lot better, but unfortunately it’s way too long. A Boogie can actually come through with a ... read more
The Slow Rush was my introduction to Tame Impala, and let me just say that I'm impressed. Something about this album and the way Tame Impala presents the music on here has captured me. It just sounds really good. Also, I think "Lost In Yesterday" will be my favorite song of 2020. I'm obsessed.

I didn’t think he could do worse than Yummy, but then I heard the Lil Dicky track. And then I had to hear Yummy fucking twice. Nah bro. Also can Justin Bieber stop saying the words “lit” or “litty”?
This is just a boring, generic, and lifeless Pop/R&B album infused with some trap elements. There are some ok moments I guess (mostly the more guitar driven tracks on the second half), but a majority of these songs are just so bland and boring that they fade into ... read more
While it’s not one of the most unique or inventive R&B projects I’ve ever heard, it is pretty good and has some enjoyable moments. The production, while pretty basic, is nice and gives this project a nice sound overall. Brent Faiyaz has a great voice, and the songs and melodies he crafts on here are pretty good, but I can’t help but feel like this project is missing something. It’s good for what it is, but it ultimately ends up being a pretty forgettable and generic ... read more
This album needed some features, some Swedish songwriters, and some trap beats because it’s 100% pure uncut ASS.
This album is bad. It’s not even all that terrible on its own, it’s just so fucking generic and boring. Also, why the fuck is this album mixed like fucking dog shit? Would I dislike this album as much if I didn’t know it was Green Day? No, because I probably wouldn’t even finish it because it’s so boring. I would have just thought it was a boring ... read more
My expectations for this were about as high as they could be. Denzel is one of my favorite younger rappers, and Kenny’s production is always amazing. I don’t think anything they dropped would have surpassed my expectations, but what we got came incredibly close, even if it’s not as crazy and wild as I had hoped it would be.
This is just a project of Denzel spitting bars over great production. It’s not as hard and aggressive as he can be, but it doesn’t need to ... read more
This album is not good. I was not expecting it to be this bad, especially since I thought her last album was impressive. But apart from the occasional ok song, these songs are just not good. Some of these songs are so bad I’m honestly shocked. I get what she was trying to do, but it just wasn’t executed well at all.

Just a bland and generic pop album with zero personality or character. For what it is, it isn’t terrible I guess, but what’s the point? I just don’t really care. Production is the basic pop sound you would expect, and the songwriting is the same thing. Meghan Trainor isn’t interesting vocally, and she doesn’t really bring much personality, so these songs could be for anybody. It’s cookie cutter mainstream pop, and if that’s your thing maybe you see ... read more
I’ve never been a fan of Russ, but I’ve never really thought he was all that terrible either. He has some potential, and I actually thought some of his songs were decent early on. I understand people hating him for his extremely annoying attitude and because he’s an asshole, but I always thought his music, while not very interesting or unique, got more hate than it deserved. Don’t get me wrong; I didn’t like Zoo, but I thought There’s Really A Wolf showed ... read more
Disappointing and inconsistent.
While I enjoyed a lot of C5, it went on too long and had too many just ok or boring songs to really reach its potential. I was hoping this album could be less filler and more direct, but instead it goes in the opposite direction. There aren’t any excellent songs, just boring or ok ones paired with some enjoyable ones sprinkled in throughout the over an hour long tracklist. It’s just frustrating because unfortunately Wayne’s effort is minimal ... read more
BURN DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE!
I knew this was going to be terrible, so I wasn’t excited to hear this. But I wanted to be able to say I heard it and so I could add it to my worst albums of 2019 list. But then I heard the first song, and it wasn’t terrible? Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t good AT ALL and was pretty bad, but I didn’t hate it. I thought maybe I’d be the only person to actually not vehemently hate this. Then the second song played. Then the rest. ... read more
I’ve always though Young M.A had a lot of potential, and she had some great songs, but I had some doubts about whether she could make a good album. I initially didn’t listen to this when it came out, but when looking at 2019 albums I hadn’t listened to yet, this stood out to me. I liked her singles “Big” and “Pettywap”, so I hoped this would be a good project. Then I saw the runtime.
This album is just too long. If it was the best 10-12 songs, this ... read more
Many talented artists together ≠ great music
But while I agree that Escape From New York is not interesting and not anywhere near what they could have done, is it really terrible? To me, it’s just painfully boring and pointless. The production is pretty generic (even if it is decent most of the time), and nobody really stands out. It just blends into the background. The second half is also extremely boring and makes this album a tough listen all the way through. With that being said, ... read more
I’ve never really gotten into Stormzy’s music, or UK Grime in general. But after seeing Fantano’s positive review, I decided to give this a listen, and I’m pleasantly surprised.
The production on here is pretty good, and I love the shifts from genre to genre on here. This album doesn’t have one specific sound and I think that helps it tremendously. I also think Strormzy is a very good rapper. His more aggressive rap tracks are more interesting to me than the pop ... read more
After seeing Fantano’s review and other people’s negative reviews, I decided not to listen. I came to the conclusion it was basically a boring Die Lit. But while going through albums I didn’t listen to in 2019 so I could make my best of lists, this album stood out to me. And I’m glad it did.
This is actually pretty good. While not as interesting as Die Lit, this album still manages to have many highlights, stellar production, and a lot of personality. Young Nudy ... read more
